I gripped harder on the books in my hand as I saw him. Our eyes met, making me turn abruptly making my way to where I was seated before, a designated part of the lecture room, at the rear.
Why does he look so much like him? The person I saw bears a strict resemblance with Ethan. The only difference was that the person I saw has pink lips instead of full red lips Ethan has. He also is taller than Ethan, with that more mature look and perception.
I glanced slightly over to see if I can see him, as he was standing with the boys not too far from where I was sitting. He must have seen me earlier when we made eye contact. For some reason, I saw him turn back to look at me as he kept whispering something to his friends. I instantly covered my book as I rested my head on the desk. This is a nightmare.
Time passed as they started moving out of the lecture rooms. Abigael said goodbye, seeing I still want to stay behind. The lecture room later became scanty as only a few students are there. Trying to figure out the chemical combination of some medicines in the textbook I was reading, my mind was not into it.
Maybe I should take a rest. Nope, maybe I should go back to my hostel. I know I'm making these thoughts based on the facts that I saw Ethan's lookalike. Not only that, he is still around, just himself sitting and pressing his phone, not too far from where I was.
Maybe I should go and say hi to him", I thought. Chris's warning rang through my head, stopping me as I decided to just place my head on the desk, hopefully, sleep will take over.
It was not up to five minutes when I heard a voice.
"Hi", the voice said, as I raised my head, only to meet his eyes, my nostril taking in the smell of his cologne.
" Hey", I replied, sparingly opening my book.
"You are the Class Representative, right? Nice to meet you", he said, stretching his hand forward in quite a gentlemanly manner.
" You knew already", I blurted out, without thinking, leaving his hand stranded as he placed it in his pocket. He will know you are the Class Rep', my subconscious interrupted.
"Sure you are quite popular. The Nerdy goodie and effeminate student, who like to show his good qualities", he said, his eyes staring at mine.
I frowned at his use of words, he sure knows a lot about me. I can't be popular, I kinda hate that word.
Keeping a calm expression, I voiced out
" Do you have something else to say? I would like to take my leave", I said, not sparing him a glance.
"I'm sorry for saying something that might have offended you. I just want us to be friends. I learned you are the best in this department, maybe you can tutor me", he requested, making me shudder inwardly.

I don't even know him or his name. Please, I will pass. He gives me creeps.
" Thanks for the compliment, but I am not the best. You should find someone else", I deadpanned, as a hint of disappointment showed on his face.
"Here you are brother, I have been looking over for you", a voice said as we both turned to see a girl coming closer to her.
Light skinned, with flawless skin as well as a slender body as the gown hugged her body.
" Hey. Wow, Michael right? ", she said, beaming with a smile.
" Yes", I replied with suspicion in my eyes.
"You know him too, not bad", he said.
" Ok, I am Josephine and he is Joseph. We are twins, unidentical twins. Nice to meet you", the girl who is Josephine explained stretching his hand forward, as I took it.
"I got to jet, see ya", she said walking away briskly.
Ok, I'm lost. Joseph looks like Ethan, but he has a twin sister.
" Don't mind my sister, she is more of a jovial type and also a player", Joseph said enunciating the last part of the word.
I rolled my eyes, finding his words unrelated to my thoughts. She is not my type,", I deadpanned in my head.
"Do you perhaps know Ethan? He looks like you?"I asked out of curiosity in my mind.
He searched for something on his phone as he showed me a picture of both of them.
" You mean sassy Ethan?", he asked giving me his phone as I collected it, staring at it to see the both of them.
"We are cousins. His dad and my dad are identical twins. We look alike somehow tho except that I am taller than he is and also have more handsome features than his", he boasted as I rolled my eyes at him. It seems the cocky nature flows in their bloodstreams, both him and Ethan.
" No wonder I caught you staring at me. I thought you have fallen for my handsome self, not knowing you only knew my cousin", he said as I hissed, forcing his phone into his hands.
"You sure are cocky. Ethan and I were classmates back in Secondary School. And it is quite obvious you both shared the same characteristics, egoistic, cocky, and sassy too", I stated as I stood up, packing my books into my bag. He is annoying.
" Oh, you just broke my heart. Don't worry, I won't tell Ethan you speak ill of him. Anyway, I want to be friends with you. Let us go", Joseph said smiling sheepishly, as he stood beside me.
I touched my forehead thinking of a way to get rid of him but he won't. He is sure like his cousin, PERSISTENT JOSEPH.
"Let us go", I finally gave in as we both started walking down the campus.
" So about the tutoring thing, will you help me out?", he asked, holding my right hand, with his soft eyes gazing at me. I can't be distracted, I thought as I freed my hand from his.
"I don't think you need a tutor. This would be your second year at the University. Even if you are not a brilliant person, I believe you would ace things up. It is just a unit course and for a semester, it will not take you any strength to keep up", I said, not making eye contact with him.
I can't get into another trance of feelings for Joseph. That of his cousin caused me a lot, my time, thinking imaginations, my sleep. I was addicted to him, just seeing him smile and go handsome face.
" Oh", Joseph said.
"Yes, all the best", I summoned my resort, preparing to take my leave. He might as well be like his cousin.
