“So warm.” Sanaya ran her hand down subconsciously as she was embraced in warmth. With her half-closed eyes, she smiled and hugged the person she was getting warmth from.
Everything was ok but suddenly she felt something weird and started running her hand up. “Beard?” Sanaya quickly opened her eyes while still touching Nick’s face. In front of her eyes she could see Nick sleeping, his one arm was down her head when his other hand was entangled with her one hand.
“Am I dreaming?” She hissed as she pinched her cheeks.
Taking a look around she just found out that she was in his room which meant she was sleeping on his bed. “Did I crawl here by myself? He will surely get angry if he sees me here. I should…” She was about to get up but then she noticed his hand entangling with hers. It felt as if he did not want to let her go, as if he wanted to hold her tight.
Sanaya leaned a little to untangle her hand from his but suddenly he hugged her arm and mumbled, “Don’t go.”
She was pulled close to his face by his sudden move. She found her nose to be kissed by his lips. As Sanaya tilted her head, her eyes caught on his lips, she touched his face gently and watched him not reacting at all. Sanaya guessed that he was probably asleep. ‘Since you are sleeping, why not let me go?’ she let out a sigh and glared at the roof.
This was not bad though but then what she wanted? Sigh! Sanaya casually turned her head to her left and she saw a pen on the table. Thinking of an idea she smiled and biting her lips she slowly reached to his lips. It was not hard to do when he would be awake though but this was gonna be more fun.
Sanaya extended her hand in order to get the pen from the table, but something stopped her. Sanaya looked down and saw Nick let go of her hand but his hand reached on her tummy now. Sanaya held on her breath by his sudden movement, she gulped and kept her eyes open. She thought he probably woke up but as she saw his eyes were still closed she was disappointed. She turned to him, she was trying to control her laughter. He had tortured her and now it was her turn.
Sanaya definitely had something going on in her head. Taking a deep sigh just when she was about to paint his face, his eyes shot open.
Sanaya turned to her left and closed his eyes thinking that he would not notice that she was actually awake. But unlike she thought, Nick moved closer to her. Touching her arms he kissed on her shoulder softly. Smiling he asserted, “Don’t be shy, turn around.”
Hearing him say that Sanaya just turned around and blurted out, “Shy? Who…” but as soon as she turned around, she found him looking at her. Nick touched her face while smiling at her. This was something unnatural. Sanaya could not believe it was truly happening. But she already pinched herself so it could not be an illusion either!
‘Is he finally accepting me as his wife? Can we be a real couple? I had been waiting for this…’ she was having all sorts of thoughts playing in her head. “Good morning.” He asserted and kissed on her forehead. His voice hit her ears.
“Good morning.”
As he was not saying something Sanaya was about to ask him something but suddenly he pulled her waist and hugged her tight. She could hear his heartbeat and his hug was making her feel as if it was her safest shelter. Though she was a little confused, his heart beating at a faster speed was making her smile. She could think of only one possibility and that was… he probably had feelings for her now. But was it possible? After staying away from her, maybe he understood how important she was in his life. She was thinking so.
Sanaya was so happy, she did not try to remember what happened last night or what he did in the past. Where she wanted to take her revenge on him, being a tough lady and annoying him too much did not matter now. Sanaya was overwhelmed when she felt that he might have understood his fault and he wanted to make everything right. She was about to embrace happiness, embracing him.
“Your fever has gone down. How are you feeling now?” He asked her in a less worried tone. hering him she was confused. She was about to ask him what he meant but just then she rememberHed what happened last night.
Nick was worried about her, she was not even saying how she was feeling now. Worried as he gaped at her and proclaimed, “Let me see if you are…” he extended his hand to touch her forehead but she held his hand. Sanaya quickly got up to the bed and as she was about to get down he stopped her. “What’s wrong? Are you feeling…”
Sanaya pulled her hand. She was angry at him now that she did not want to see him. Seeing her to stay quiet Nick touched her face, “Sanaya, is something wrong? Let me…”
“No need to show concern.”
“I am not showing it, I am…”
The event from last night was making her blood boil on fire. Back then she was sick but now she was absolutely fine. She was trying her best not to burst out in rage before him but he was pushing her. Sanaya did not bother to stay quiet anymore. Turning to him she proclaimed, “Let me ask you something. What do you take me for?”
“What do you mean? Of course, I…”
“Just answer me. Don’t need to pretend like you don’t understand.”
“Sanaya.”
“Do you think I am a fool? Or you think I am just begging for your love and you can easily play me?”
Nick heard women were hard to understand. That was a sure thing and true to say, he thought there would not be any problem to tackle her but now, he was lost in words.
The more he was silent the more angered she was getting. He was trying to find a way. ‘Calm down. You can…’
“Fine. Since Mr. Davis can’t understand what I meant. I will make it clear to you. You misuse your power and play tricks, just so you could make another woman happy. Wow.”
“Another woman? Is there anybody whom I know as a man but he is a woman?”
Sanaya could not control but laugh sarcastically so she would not lose her mind. He was really on the way to get on her nerves completely.
“You want to act innocent? Fine, keep doing that. I am leaving this damn mansion right now.” With that as she turned around Nick quickly pulled her hand. “Wait, no. Except you there’s no other woman whom I want to make happy. I have only you. So I really don’t know who you mean. Sanaya, trust me.”
Right, no need to leave without talking face to face. This time she was not gonna leave without asking him to explain everything to her. She was not going to do the same as she did in the past. Leaving without talking to him about it.
“Trust you? Do you remember how you whispered in my ears last night that YOU DID IT? You let Tuna get the award when I earned the votes by hard-work not using tricks, Mr. Davis. You just ruined it and for what? And that proud smile, did you think that you could make me leave using such tricks?” Sanaya blurted out furiously. Even if she was not to get the award, she would not mind but it was enough hurting that he even played tricks just to make her obey him.
Right, he did not think of it. She would surely be furious. He had to get her to cool down first.
“Sanaya, let’s calm down first. I just want to help you not to…”
“Help me? And how do you think that helped me? Please, can you tell me in detail? ”
"I did it for your good. I'll arrange hundreds of awards for you if you want awards. Just…"
"Hundred of awards? You will arrange it? You think I am so incapable of getting one by myself that I need you to get me one?"
"Sanaya, I did not mean that. I just want you to leave that industry. I can agree to anything but I can't let you be an actress."
Sanaya was about to scream, for seriously! She chuckled in order to not say something rude. Even talking to him was not gonna change something anyway.
Sanaya was going to leave without fighting like this since he was so stuck with his selfishness but as she reached the door Nick asserted, "You are not gonna go anywhere, come back."
"Let me tell you, don't try to make me more angry."
"I didn't do anything wrong. I just…"
"Seriously?... Ok, then let's be true to each other. What do you want from me?"
Nick saw her to calmly ask him. Was she gonna listen to his reasoning? Really? Nick was not ready to tell her about it yet, he still wanted to take some time. He noticed that having her by his side would cure him faster but about his secrets, his story he still wanted to wait a little and then he would tell her everything.
Nick walked to her slowly and then touched her arms gently. Looking at her he proclaimed, "I just want you to quit, don't be an actress anymore. Stop being a model, I promise I will agree to anything you want but not this. Why don't you…"
"Who do you think you are to tell me that?"
"I am your husband."
"Do you really think of yourself as one?"
"Ofcourse, I am one. Sanaya, I know you might think that I am just trying to make you obey me but it's not that. I have my reasons. You just have to listen to me, please can you?"
Maybe she could but he was not convincing enough. He did not give her any reasoning and she did not want to find one. He never let her enter his world when she once tried her best but in exchange she got hurt only. When he was hoping she would listen to him she just could not.
Pulling herself some inches away from him Sanaya said something that shocked him. "Let me quit and be a housewife? Ohh, wait. Just a wife in the name, so you'll have an obedient wife at home and you can cheat on me again, live your life all you want and let me suffer in hell. Isn't that what you want? But let me tell you, I am no longer a weak woman whom you can make a fool off easily and hurt her again and again."
"Cheat? I never cheat on you. What are you talking about?"
"Now you don't even want to tell the truth? Wow, I can't believe it."
"Sanaya, I had enough. I don't understand what you mean by cheating. I never…" Nick suddenly hurt his head. Some familiar words were echoing in his head.
Though he wanted to say more but Aiden quickly reached there and Nick walked close to Sanaya, he did not want her to leave. He wanted, he really wanted to know what she meant but Aiden stood in the middle.
"Ma'am, please can you leave Mr. David for a while? He has an urgent meeting to attend so…"
Nick could see his view getting blursome, he touched his head and was trying to say something to Sanaya but all he could see was her gone. She was not there anymore.
"Boss, Dr. Benson will be here soon. Please keep your eyes closed. Don't try to force yourself." Aiden extended his hand to help Nick but Nick did not grab his hand and instead he tried walking towards the door.
He was still mumbling when he could barely keep himself conscious.
"Sanaya, wait. Please don't go. I …"
"Mr. Davis!" But before Nick could take a step outside of his room, he fell on the ground and fainted.
