"Nick... I mean Mr. Davis, I am so sorry I..." Words got stuck in her throat as Nick abruptly pulled her toward him. What was he doing here? He settled his one hand around her waist and kept his other hand in his pocket.
She noticed the fierce gaze in his eyes when he was staring at Virat. On the other hand, Virat seemed to dislike Nick as much as Nick seemed to dislike him. In the middle, she couldn't understand what was going on between them.
It was probably the first time they met. She started wondering, 'Did they meet before? Don't they have a good relationship between them? Is that so?'
But before she could find anything out, he was pulling her somewhere. Seeing him to drag her somewhere as she was about to ask him, Virat stepped toward him to stop him but suddenly Nick turned around and Virat could not reach Sanaya, he was left behind.
"What are you doing? People will..."
"Let them do whatever they want. You have me so no need to think about what'll they do and whatnot. Far more, you have a mask on so no need to think more." Nick didn't let her finish, he simply shut her mouth with an 'I-am-the-don' like look. She looked around. Right, she forgot for a second that nobody could tell who she was.
When she was looking around she saw media to click their photos but it didn't make her nervous. She was stunned to see how Nick looked so dashing. Unknowingly, a smile emerged on the nook of her lips.
Seeing her smile Nick suddenly pulled her close by her waist. His sudden pull made her stunned. She stared at him and then lowered her eyes.
"Sanaya..."
"What..."
"From now on, if anything bothers you let me know right away. I want you to lean on my shoulder, in any situation think of me first. I will solve anything for you, your husband is capable of taking care of..."
She was listening to him attentively. He seemed so impressive and more handsome because he was acting like a sweet husband. How he pulled her towards him from Virat, was funny to see. Sanaya couldn't help but smile foolishly.
"What's wrong?" She shook her head and tried to stop smiling when he asked her.
"Why are you laughing then? What I said made you laugh? Is it funny?" Hearing him she scowled at him confusingly.
"What did you say?"
"You didn't even hear what I said earlier?"
O right. She quickly remember she heard him saying all those. She touched his arm gently and said, "Of course, I heard. I was just trying to..."
"What..."
"Come closer." As Sanaya said so, he strode his face close to hers.
Surprising him, she kissed his cheek and he gazed at her. Sanaya smiled at him and Nick smiled back at her. Maybe for her to be like before, she needed time but he was ready to wait, he was sure that he would win her heart back. For whatever he did to her before, he still had not much idea about it.
Though it was surprising just the way he turned out to be a whole different person unlike she thought him to be the past year, she was glad. Even if it was for a second or minute, he made her so happy. Now, she was so desperate to find out what made him behave like a jerk after they got married.
They were dancing like a happy couple until they were apart. Sanaya found herself dancing with Virat all of a sudden. Astonished, she stared at him.
On the other hand, Tuna was Nick's dance partner. To see her was already making him angry. When he saw Sanaya dancing with Virat, his blood started steaming on the flame.
"You?"
"Everyone is changing their dance partners," Virat exclaimed.
"Ohh." Though Sanaya was dissatisfied, she couldn't do much but dance with him.
On the other hand, Nick yanked himself away from Tuna and was about to walk away but she grabbed his hand. She voluntarily got close to him.
"If you don't want to get hurt then stay away. I don't wanna dance with you." He let her know.
"But I want to dance with you. Nick, let's try to..."
Her getting adherent with him infuriated him. He tried shoving her away but she held onto him more.
"I'm warning you, Tuna. Stop doing this. I can't be patient every time. If you don't move, I will do it."
"Then do it. I won't let you go still." She held onto him tight.
Sanaya had her eyes only on Nick and Tuna. She was so angered that Tuna was tossing herself on him. She wanted to throw Tuna away from her husband but Virat didn't seem to let her go either.
"Until you have a girlfriend I have full chance to chase you, so I'm not..." Tuna asserted.
Surely she didn't know that he was already married. Since the first day, he never gave her any false hope. It was clear enough to understand that he had no feelings for her yet she always kept having false hopes.
Seeing how she was forcing herself on him, he could no longer standstill. Suddenly he held her hand tight that Tuna hissed a little. "Nick, it hurts."
Still holding her hand tight Nick shoved her away and then stood before her, putting his hand in his pocket. His voice sounded more serious than ever and as cold as a school teacher when he finds a student cheating on an exam. "I gave you the last chance yet you have ruined it with your hand. Now, let me make something clear for your sake. First, don't you ever call me Nick. Call me as everyone else does. Secondly, I have no interest in you so you better keep your distance from me. Thirdly, you seem to have some problems with your brain. Though I've told you countless times that I was helping you just because I thought you deserved it but you don't want to accept the fact. This is the final warning. If you dare approach me like this ever again then you will not only ruin your career by your hand but your family will suffer too."
"What..." Tuna was surprised to hear him. Until now he never hurt her family however she irritated him but today...
"Miss Tuna, you know me. So you better do what is good for you. Do not make trouble for your family." Thinking she could talk to him once more when she was about to take another step she stopped. She saw him grab Sanaya's hand. Those words he just said were playing in her mind but the view before her eyes was making her furious. Tuna clenched her fists as she gaped at Sanaya.
All of a sudden Sanaya found herself getting pulled. She saw her one hand was grabbed by Nick while the other one was grabbed by Virat.
'What's going on here? What do they take me for?'
Nick pulled her hand but Virat was not letting her go either. They both were glaring at each other angrily and reporters were clicking their photos. Thankfully she had a mask on.
"Have you guys lost your mind? Let me go!" She burst out in grievance but it didn't change anything. None of them seemed to want to stop as if they were fighting.
"Get away from her, how dare you touch her hand!" Nick pulled her hand more and hiding her behind him he stood before Virat when he was still holding her hand.
"Same to you. Let go of her hand, Mr. Davis."
Judging by what was going on Sanaya was sure that none of them wanted to back off. But the reporters seemed to be too interested to take photos, they were walking toward them.
'If it keeps going on, we will be done for. Sanaya, you have to think of something quickly.' She took a look at both Nick and Virat then without thinking anymore, she pulled her hand.
No more looking north or south, she started running away from there and the reporters ran after her.
