Chapter 68

'What's going on here huh? On one side, is my husband, and on the other side, it's my ex-fiance. Wow, can't believe these guys.' Sanaya was hiding behind a car. The reporters were still looking for her here and there. She couldn't yet get away from them. She was waiting for Mona to come to her with the car.
"We must find that girl. Two famous men were fighting over her, it's gonna be the hottest news." She heard the reporters say so.
'Hottest news? Two men fighting over me? It was supposed to be a simple and harmless meeting, how come it turned out this way?' Seeing two reporters running towards the car Sanaya quickly moved from there.
"Sanaya sis, here."
She quickly ran towards Mona's car. As soon as they got in Mona started driving the car.
The Next Morning
Ring! Ring!! Ring!
Birds were chirping outside of the window, it was still early morning. Moving to the right side of the bed Sanaya got her phone from the side table. She lazily blurted out while keeping her eyes closed. "..."
"Hi, it's Virat."
"The number you are calling now is currently out of coverage area..." With that saying, she was about to hang up but she heard him talking. "Don't hang up, please. I want to talk to you about new projects, that's all. I just want to help you out."
Hearing him she quickly opened her eyes. Sanaya took a gaze at the screen of her phone and then she held it near her ear, "Why do you want to help me?"
"You are a talented artist. I think you are not being treated the way you should be treated."
Sanaya remembered what happened last night. His sudden meeting was not doing anything good but as if he intentionally did it. Though it was only her thoughts.
"Sanaya, let's meet up later today. We will discuss it once we meet. How does it sound?" She was still speechless. Whether meeting him for the second time would be ok or not, she was distracted. The reporters didn't know who she was, that was a relief.
When she was at an impasse, Virat inquired her again. "What do you say?"
"After what happened last night, I think reporters might be keeping their eyes on you to see if you meet any woman. So don't you think we should not meet right now?"
"No, you don't worry about it. I will send someone to pick you up. We will meet in my cabin so it'll be safe." He asserted.
Giving it a thought Sanaya gaped at the wall clock in the room. Tick, tick, tick! And she decided to give it a go.
"Ok, let's meet then."
Cutting the call she let out a sigh. She was in a tough situation now. She didn't even know why in the first place, she lost her ongoing projects and now, she had to get help from someone she didn't want to but it was about her career, she just couldn't deal with it carelessly.
In her memory, Virat was never a good-to-go but he was an annoying and manipulative person.
After getting ready she was about to stroll away from the breakfast table but then, she saw Danielle and behind him, Mona was standing like a scared cat.
"Good morning, Dan." She walked past him.
"Morning but where are you going?" Danielle questioned her. Like every time he was worried again.
Sanaya knew how he was going to continue asking her if she would ignore him so she just took a seat on the couch and Danielle sat on the couch quickly.
"Are you going to meet with Mr. Davis? Or is it Mr. Virat? What's your relationship with them? Since when did you know both of them?" He threw questions at her.
Rubbing her forehead Sanaya coughed a little and answered him, "I am... I am going to meet Mr. Virat."
"Omg, that's awesome. Go, go. Meet him, meet Mr. Virat. You should..." There he goes again.
Sanaya gestured at Mona and then smiling decently at him she got up. As Danielle was about to follow her, Mona stopped him. She could manage to get him to stop following her.
__
Sanaya walked out of the elevator when she had a scarf wrapped around her face, nowadays she didn't want anyone to know where she was going or what she was doing.
"Come in." Knocking at the door as she heard Virat say so, she entered his cabin.
Virat was seated on his chair while reading a mail. Though their engagement was fixed, she didn't know much about his job here as she was not interested in him back then. Who knew she would meet him again like this.
"Please take a seat."
Sanaya sat on the couch. She looked around, his cabin was not so big nor small. She guessed he had a decent job surely since her grandpa liked him so much and wanted to marry her off with him so much.
"What do you want to drink? Hot or cold coffee?"
"Cold coffee, thank you." She answered.
Some minutes passed but none of them talked. Virat was watching her drink coffee, he had so much to say that he didn't know where to start. Of course, he didn't know how would she react though.
"You said we were gonna talk about work."
Her voice impeded his thoughts. He wheezed a little and announced, "Yes. I was just... I want to cast you in my new movie as the main lead."
Sanaya stopped drinking the coffee and looked at him. Was he serious? She thought.
"What?"
"Yes, and I will also help you get new roles."
"Why? I mean why do you want to help me? I hope you won't tell me that it's because I have potential or something like that." She let him know.
Maybe if it would be someone else, she would not speak like this but it was different. Only because it was Virat, did she feel as if there was more than what it seemed to be. And if it was him, then she didn't want any help from him.
For five seconds he didn't say anything, he was sitting there all silent. It was more like he was indulging in thoughts.
"Do you know why did you lose all the roles recently?"
Hearing his question Sanaya nodded her head in denial. Though she was surprised too she couldn't know it. Weirdly, everything happened.
"All of them were ordered to give your role to Miss Tuna and some other actresses. There was pressure, if they would not do as they were told to do then it would call disaster for themselves..."
Sanaya was surprised, what was he saying? Why would someone order them to... It didn't make any sense. She gaped at him in disbelief.
To make her no more confused Virat answered her confidently, "Behind all the mess, Mr. Davis is responsible."
"What?" No way.
Though she remembered him warning her to back off herself she couldn't think that he would use any means just to make her do what he wanted her to do. He was changed now, his actions said he cared about her. Then why would he...
"It's Nicolas Davis." Virat proclaimed as if he was 100% sure.
Sanaya nodded her head in denial and quickly got up. "I don't think so."
"Sanaya, it's the truth. Though I don't know why he did it, he is the one behind it. You know how powerful he is, nobody dared to go against him. Think of why would someone like to lose their job and save your career? They just followed his order and..."
"Let's stop here." Seeing her to ready to leave Virat immediately stood up and said, "Sanaya, wait."

Since when I was teen, I seldom imagine myself being the person referred from the book or novels I have read, and somehow dreamt of having it happen in my life.😍
