"Mr. Davis..." The leader broadened his eyes. Blood was dripping down on the floor. As the leader pulled out the knife, Nick let out a little painful moan. He glared at Sanaya, he was grateful that it was not her but him. He caressed her face and moved a strand of her hair over her face. It got him so frightened, if he was late for another second the knife would have probably ended it... "Mr. Davis, your..." Nick stood still and then glanced at the man who was now sitting on the ground. Thinking he would better run from there, as soon as he got up Nick grabbed his collar. "Mr. Davis, please have mercy." Nick lifted him in the air by grabbing his neck. "Mr. Davis... Please...." The man held his hand hoping he would let him go but he instead carried him higher up. The intensity in his eyes mixed with outrage, it could be understood how enraged he was at that moment. "Please... Please..." "You shouldn't have chosen her. You f*cking shouldn't have gone to her to hurt her." His voice came out as if he would kill him in the most brutal way possible, his cold eyes could send a quiver running down someone's spine. "I... I..." "Mr. Davis, your hand needs to be bandaged immediately. Police are outside, why don't we..." Kyle took some inches backward as he saw the intense gaze in Nick's eyes. "I told you to not involve her. If I was late, do you have any idea what would happen? She would have been stabbed instead of... Me... I would f*cking lose her..." Grabbing the man's neck harder he threw him somewhere on the floor and the man hit the wall in the room. The wall made of glass broke down into shattered pieces of glass. "We are sorry, Mr. Davis." Kyle and Aiden apologized. The man touched his neck while suffering in filling out his lungs with air. He coughed while grabbing his neck gently. "Sorry... Is that all you can say? You guys are supposed to protect her, not involve her in this. She should have stayed out of this... Get out of here! Both of you! I don't wanna see you two right now!" With those words, Nick took a deep breath. Blood was dripping down to his wounded hand and it was not even one day since he got hurt, he was somehow bearing the pain. "But Mr. Davis..." "Get out!" The man was trying to get up but failed to do so. As he saw Nick walk toward him, he tried to get up anyhow, but the fear of getting killed brutally got him. Suddenly Nick put his leg on his hand and the man hissed in pain, a broken piece of glass cut into his wrist. "With this hand, you tried to stab her, didn't you? I will make sure you don't have this hand anymore." Nick started looking for the knife the man stabbed him with. As he was about to pick the knife from the floor, Kyle quickly stopped. "Do you wanna die too?" Kyle swallowed fearfully and looked at Aiden. Aiden was whispering 'stop him! stop him anyhow!' to him so putting his fear aside he still stopped him. "He still didn't confess anything yet. If you kill him, we... We won't know the truth... Might, might I mean..." Aiden quickly yanked the man up by grabbing his collar. Better to take him out of his boss's sight or nobody could tell what would he do. As they were about to stroll out of the room, the man suddenly sat on the floor on his knees and blurted out keeping his fingers crossed, "I want to confess to you, Mr. Davis. Please hear me out." "You have tried killing him, whatever you want to say tell the police. Mr. Davis had enough of you." Kyle tried pulling him up. But he refused to get up. "I know I don't have much time. But Mr. Davis, I want to tell you who wants to kill you. All these years, he was the one who sent me to kill you." "What did you say?" Aiden glared at Nick as the man wanted to confess in front of Nick. Was he lying or was he serious? As nobody didn't stop him so the man continued, "I know you might not believe me even if I tell you the truth but at least I want you to know the truth." "What are you trying to pull here huh? Are you even serious? No, why do you want to..." Kyle stopped talking as he saw Nick gaze at him. Nick sat on the bed and asserted, "Who is he?" "He is... He is your dad, Mr. Yehan." The man answered. Upon hearing him, Nick quickly stood up. Aiden pulled him up immediately by grabbing his neck. "Do you know what are you saying? Stop spouting nonsense, why would he want to kill his son? And he loves Mr. Davis more than his life." "No, he doesn't..." "What?" "Mr. Yehan had wanted to kill him that's why he sent me here but all these years, I never managed to get it done..." "We had enough, you shut your mouth! How dare you pull an innocent man into this... I heard Gansta people are at least not liars, you seem to make me astonished. Seriously!" Aiden grabbed the man and he was pulling him towards the door. "Mr. Davis gave you a chance and you dared to throw the blame at his father, now say whatever you want to police. Police's special treatment will be the best for you to..." "Mr. Davis, please believe me. I am saying the truth. I don't know why he wants to kill you but I'm really saying the truth. Please, Mr. Davis..." Nick let out a sigh as they left. He stared around in search of a first aid kit and clean clothes to clean his wound and bandage it. As he found them, he sat on the couch. "Let me do this, Mr. Davis." But before he would start, surprising him Kyle got there. "I told you to stay away from me. How dare you..." "I am not going. Scold me as much as you want but I am not going." Nick looked at him coldly but he didn't leave. When he was bandaging his hand, Nick was still thinking of what the man told him earlier. No, how could his dad hurt him? And he even wants him dead? How could it be possible? Nodding his head he let out a sigh and resting his head on the sofa he kept looking at the roof. Was he missing something? No, how could it be? Things seemed to be more complicated than he could think of. "Mr. Davis, it's done." Kyle's voice dragged him out of his reverie. "Leave." "Sure, Mr. Davis." Smiling at him like an obedient kid Kyle was about to leave but then he stopped, "Ahh, Mr. Davis..." "What now?" "Mrs. Davis didn't want to leave. She is very worried about you, she said she would not leave so we... We couldn't do anything. And..." Nick glared at him and Kyle showed him his branded white teeth as if he was proud of showing him. "Stop showing me those teeth of yours. And what?" Kyle walked near the door and opening it he blurted out, "And she didn't eat anything. She said she didn't have an appetite so she skipped di... Dinner." "What?" As Kyle nodded his head, he glared at Sanaya. He had no idea that she skipped dinner. Watching Kyle's funny look at him, Nick coughed and blurted out, "Get the cars ready. We are leaving." "Huh? Now?" "Or do you think I am letting you know this because I want to leave the day after tomorrow?" "Ahh, no-no. I got it. We are leaving right now. Got it, boss." Showing him his teeth again, Kyle quickly walked out of there. His plan would work, he knew. And just like he predicted, everything happened. Now, he almost found out the real culprit. It was just he couldn't believe that man's words but strangely, what he said was disturbing him. Putting on his suit he decided he would stop thinking about it. In the room his eyes caught on his wife, he remembered how she was crying when he was already awake. He just couldn't help looking at how cute she was, she kept holding his hand and crying like a baby. Even now, he was smiling remembering her crying and how she told him how she felt for him through a story. "Mr. Davis, the car is ready." A bodyguard let him know walking into the room. Nick took Sanaya in his arms, his bandaged hand was not a lame joke though, he could feel the pain yet he didn't hiss. Taking her in his arms as he walked out of the room, he saw his men standing in a row. As they were walking towards the elevator, his bodyguards followed forth and back. Unexpectedly, Sanaya opened her eyes all of a sudden. With half-sleepy eyes, she glared at Nick and asked in a low voice, "Are we going somewhere..." "Yes, back to our home." "Huh?" "It's a dream. Sleep, close your eyes." Nick brushed his nose against her nose and she blinked her eyes slowly and then closed her eyes. Back to the mansion "Little Nick, why did you come back at this late night? You are not healed yet, you should have stayed at the hospital." Seeing Nick and Sanaya, Mrs. Elisa quickly scampered towards them. When she heard they were coming back she couldn't just sleep, she was worried for both of them. For Mrs. Elisa, both of them were like her own children. "You know I hate hospitals. And I am ok now, don't worry Mrs. Elisa." As Nick asserted so Mrs. Elisa narrowed her eyebrows. Glaring at his bandages she touched her chest and blurted out worriedly, "See your bandages. How much pain you might be in and yet you left the hospital. I am sure you did it when Sanaya was not awake. If she was awake, she would never let you leave the hospital." "Mr. Davis could manage to kidnap her and..." "Kidnap? Do you think so? Let me wake her up and see if he doesn't get back to the hospital. Sanaya..." As she headed to wake Sanaya who was sleeping in his arms Nick quickly turned around and Aiden quickly stood between Mrs. Elisa and Nick, he spread his arms and Nick proclaimed, "She is sleeping. Do you want her to wake up now? She might have headaches if she gets woke up like this..." "You surely know how to talk huh! Fine, go back to your room then. Remember, I am letting you off only because of your wife. Now, go." Nick sauntered upstairs. Thankfully, she didn't get angrier at him and of course, she wouldn't wake Sanaya up. He knew. "Thank you for understanding, Mrs. Elisa." Hearing Aiden Mrs. Elisa spared him a gaze with a poker face and then wandered away. Aiden puffed out the gust that he was holding for so long, surely he thought Mrs. Elisa would admonish them. No mother would be happy to see their kids like that, so her reaction was reasonable...
