NATHAN said that he wouldn’t be friends with Becca and Scott, but I highly doubt about that right now. It’s been months since we started our little squad... And it’s going really well. The four of us are becoming closer and closer to each other, including Nathan. Well, it was written in the rule number eight of my manual that I should never listen to Nathan’s nonsense statements. I’m glad I followed that. “Can we just go out or something? It’s getting boring in here!” Becca complained. It’s weekend, and we are currently at Nathan’s room, letting the time passed by while doing apparently nothing. Scott and my bestfriend are playing a video game, while Becca and I are reading some magazines. “You know what, guys, Becca is right. We should get out...” I complained. Nathan and Scott didn’t say anything. In fact, the two of them are completely ignoring us. I wanted to slap onto Nathan’s face his own words when he first met Scott. Because now, they are looking like they are a long time bestfriends who often ignore us... Or the girl’s drama, as they call it. “What’s the point of hanging out together if the two of you are always facing the computer!” Becca stated, annoyed. When they still didn’t answer, I nudged Becca while flashing a devilish grin on my face. I heard her chuckled, thinking the same thing as me. I stood up, ready to execute the plan. “Her comes the bomb!” I announced, before pulling the plug of the computer out of the socket. The computer shut down, and their game stops. Nathan and Scott groaned in unison, while Becca and I started to laugh maniacally. “Oh, come on! We almost won the game!” Scott complained. “Yeah, we are winning! If it wasn't for you...” Nathan glared at me. “Sorry, I didn’t know,” I said, trying to act innocent. “Now it’s your turn to complain, I guess.” Becca stated, before giving me a high five. “The two of you are devils...” “Yeah, yeah. Whatever, Nerdy Nathan. Let’s just go somewhere else...” “Yeah. I’m tired of seeing the two of you enjoying while Becca and I are sitting here like an idiot.” The two of them just sighed. They never win against us in every argument. After debating for some more minutes, Nathan and Scott finally decided to agree and go out with us. “So, where do you want us to go?” they asked. Becca and I looked at each other, maybe thinking about the same thing. After a few seconds, we faced them, and then frowned. “What?” “Amusement park!” we shouted. They rolled their eyes before they started to prepare themselves. Finally, after a long time, we could finally visit a real place to enjoy and unwind. We walked outside of the house wearing our normal clothes. We decided to let Scott drive the car because he’s the only one who could do it. So I guess we were left with no choice. I hope we wouldn’t regret this in the end. “Ready?” Scott asked before he started the engine. Becca and I looked nervously at each other, before Scott started to drove away. Well, it wasn’t so bad after all. For we arrived at our destination still in one piece. “I thought that was the last ride of life,” Becca stated. “Yeah, me too...” I teased. We all laughed in unison, before we entered into the amusement park. It was huge, and we can also rent a double bicycle for us to roam around. “Look! Let’s rent a bike!” Scott called out. “Sure! I’ll go with Natalia!” Nathan exclaimed. “Me? How about Becca?” I asked as I saw how Becca’s face dropped down. “She could go with Scott. Come on!” Before I could say another word, Nathan already pulled me away from them. Scott and Becca was left there all alone, no choice but to stick with each other. “Hey...” I stopped running, looking at my bestfriend for a moment. “Why?” he asked, catching his breath. “Becca obviously wants to be with you... Why didn’t you allow her to enjoy this day?” “Because I don’t want her to assume something...” I don’t want to conclude something but based on Becca’s recent actions, I think she really likes my bestfriend. “But Nathan... I think she likes you.” He yawned, stretching his arms widely in the empty air before it got around my shoulder. He then looked at me, and I stopped talking for a moment. “I know that... But I already like someone else.” “Who?” He frowned, before removing his arms around my shoulder. “Secret. It’s for you to find out about that.” He started to walked away towards the nearest bicycle that we could rent. I chased him, curious to find out who’s that girl he’s talking about. “But Nathan, we are friends! You should tell me about it!” I bugged him. “Soon... I’ll tell you if she confessed that she likes me too.” I chuckled at his confidence. “Girls don’t confess.” “Uhuh? And where did you get that?” “I’m adding it to my manual. Like, right now.” I took out my notebook and write something onto it. Rule number twenty, never confess your feelings to anyone. I stopped when Nathan’s hands held mine, distracting me from doing something. “Will you stop doing that?” “What?” I asked in confusion. “That...” He pointed at my manual. “You don’t need to follow all those made up rules... I mean, can you just get over with that manual of yours and start having some fun? I mean, real fun... Just like what we are doing right now with Becca and Scott...” “Yeah... I’ll stop for now but...” I looked up to him as I felt his hands on my cheeks. “W-What now, N-Nat?” I asked, blushing for apparently no reason. “Nothing...” He shook his head then looked away, not bothering to remove his hands on my face. Suddenly, we are both distracted when we heard Scott’s voice, who are now seems to enjoying the fact that Becca and him got some alone time together. “Hey you, guys! You haven’t got a bicycle yet?” he asked. Becca looked blankly at our direction, before she hopped down from the bike. Nathan instantly removed his hands from my cheeks before shouting back to Scott. “Let’s get some real rides, butt face!” Scott seems to be annoyed, hopping down from the bicycle as well just to chase Nathan. My bestfriend ran as fast as he could while being chased by Scott. I laughed at their crazy actions before looking back at Becca, who’s now frowning at the moment. I’m not sure if she’s sad or mad... Or maybe both. But why? “Hey, Becca! Walk with me? Let’s follow the guys.” “Sure,” was her short response. She walked towards me and I clung into her arms. Surprisingly, she’s not as energetic as before. I wanted to ask her why, but I’m afraid to ruin the happy mood of our squad. We spent the whole day trying on every ride that we saw. Nathan and Scott almost hugged each other while we are riding the vikings, and I just screamed at the top of my lungs. Becca was emotionless, so I tried to doubled up my energy to fill her loudness the whole day. And that is how we pretty much spent our weekends. Just me, my manual, and our squad.
