Chapter 14

After school...
At the mall...
"I can't believe we're getting a present for Anderson," Eleanor whines as she looks through the men's t-shirt section.
"Noted that this could be our last time to see him messing with our heads," Taylor says as she focus on choosing the right t-shirt.
"And it'll be the last time I see that guy before he leaves for Harvard," Eleanor says.
"Tim's going to Harvard? That's new," Taylor says, feeling a bit surprised that she didn't hear the news, and the fact that Tim is intelligent enough to go to Harvard.
"Well, he literally just wrote that on his Instagram story 15 minutes ago," Eleanor states.
"Well, whatever, let's go to another store. I don't think there's anything he likes here," Taylor says.
"Yeah, let's go," Eleanor says.
After an hour of searching the whole mall, the girls finally decides to purchase a black sweater with a printed "T" on the front and a sports cap for Tim. Taylor decided to give him the cap since she often sees him wearing a cap at school, so she thought giving him another one won't be a bad idea. As for Eleanor, she decided to go with the sweater since she already feels "sick" looking at Tim wearing tight t-shirts that shapes his muscular body almost everyday.
Back home....
"I doubt he's gonna wear that sweater though," Taylor says as she stares the sweater Eleanor bought for Tim.
"That dude needs to wear something different. I'm already getting annoyed looking at him in t-shirts," Eleanor states.
"Whatever. Let's just get some rest. It's been a long day," Taylor says.
Saturday....
9 AM...
Taylor's POV...
After having breakfast together, mom and dad decided to go out together to get the groceries, leaving both Eli and I alone at home.
"So what time does the party start?" Eleanor ask as she continues to wash the dishes, while I was busy wiping the tables after breakfast.
"7 PM."
"Damn, I keep forgetting the time but I can't seem to forget the person," Eleanor says in a dramatic tone.
"Chill, girl! Damn, you sound like a dramatic ex girlfriend."
"I'm always dramatic when it's regarding Anderson," Eleanor says as she puts the clean dishes on the kitchen cabinet.
I gave her a small laugh before walking to the sink to wash my hands. After that, I dried my hand using a small towel on the kitchen table before grabbing my phone to check if I have any new messages.
Meanwhile, at the hospital...
"Are you sure you don't want me to stay here, mom?" Joey ask as he sits besides his mother who is lying down on the hospital bed.
"I'll be okay, Joey. Besides you have a party to go to tonight. I'll be alright," Joey's says mom.
"I can always skip the party, Mom. I'm sure Tim will understand," Joey says.
"I'm sure that won't be neccesary. Besides your dad told me he'll be going back tonight. He'll be spending the night here, so you can go have some free time," Joey's mom says.
Joey looks at his mom as she gives him a small smile to comfort him. He nod his head before standing up from his seat beside the hospital bed.
"I'll be back here tomorrow morning at 9 AM," Joey says. "Goodbye, Mom."
"Goodbye, Joey. Have fun tonight!"
"Yeah..."
With that final sentence, Joey walks out of the room and makes his way to exit the hospital.
A few hours later...
7:20 PM..
At Tim's house...
"Here's more drinks, people," Tim says as he walks out of the kitchen with two bottles of whisky.
"Hell yeah, I'll take another shot, Anderson," Oliver says as he raise his empty glass with his right hand, while his left hand is wrapped around Lillian's waist.
I hope he pass out on the floor.
Eleanor thought.
As the teens were all busy eating, drinking, and just having fun, the door bell suddenly rang signaling that another guest has arrived. Tim walks to the front door to open it, revealing Joey standing on the other side. Tim lets him in and gives him a glass of his home made drink named "Whisked Away" for a start.
"Hey! It's Joey the boy," Tim says.
"Thanks, man," Joey says. "Oh, and happy birthday," Joey says as he hands Tim his birthday gift. He had bought him a new IPad for him to bring to Harvard.
"Thanks, brother," Tim says with his siganature smile.
Just then the door bell rang again, making Tim to open the door, revealing a tall guy with light brown hair and sapphire eyes standing on the front door. He had on a black leather jacket and some ripped jeans, complete with white sneakers.
"Hey, Fred," Tim says as he let the tall guy in. "And I thought you were too busy kissing your lecture."
"In your dreams, Tim," Fred says with disgusted look on his face. His eyes then meets Joey who is standing in confusion.
"Ok, let's make this quick! Fred, this my friend Joey. And Joey, this is my cousin, Fred," Tim says as Joey and Fred shake hands. "Freddy here is new in LA. So if you happen to know any place with pretty girls, don't hesitate to take him on a love searching journey."
Fred rolled his eyes at Tim's statement, making Joey feel awkward for being in the situation of the two. Just when Joey was about to leave the spot and look for his other friends, a girl with a high ponytail and a yellow crop top and black jeans approaches them.
"Joey!"
"Hey El," Joey says with a small smile.
"Hey! I was wondering if you had arrived," Eleanor says with a small smile. Like Joey, she's also holding a glass of "Whisked Away" and is already half empty. Her sweet smile soon fades when she turns her head to face Tim with an annoyed look. "And you...you need a better ingridient if you want to be a bartender."
"Well, he was never a bartender material anyway. His drinks were never good enough," Fred says, making both Eleanor and Tim look at him.
"Haha, yeah," Eleanor says. Her eyes then meets Fred and the two have eye contact for a moment.
To be continue...
