“Hello, buddies!” Marcos greeted Emma and the gang with a loud voice causing a librarian who was at the counter give him a glance look.
Emma quickly put her index finger to her mouth, asking Marcos to slow down his voice.
“I actually wonder, are you blind or something? Can’t you see the silent signboard?” Sophia asked.
“Oh sorry, I don’t know.” Marcos spoke.
“Of course you don’t know since you never set your foot here. Poor Marcos, you have been living your life for 17 years but you still don’t know what library is. I feel sorry for your family because their children are not as smart as them. ”
Marcos gave a dissatisfied look to Sophia but he decided not to reply anything. It's a waste of time if he keeps having quarrelled with Sophia.
“Where are Rohan and Marcos? They didn't come with you? " Sophia changed the topic.
“And, why the hell Aiden is here too? Is he lost or something? Or maybe he actually got a fever? There is no way in even thousands of years, Aiden would step his foot in the library.” Sophia whispers to Marcos.
From the entrance, she saw Aiden following Marcos. It’s weird because Aiden all this time wasn't interested in setting his foot outside of the class.
Marcos, who heard Sophia question, rolled his eyes. She is such a busybody.
“Where is Mabel?” Aiden asked when Mabella out of his sight.
“Wow, so you come here just because of Mabel?” Sophia dark green eyes was sparkle when looking at Aiden, excited with the fact that her only one arrogant friend come to the library just because he want to meet Mabella.
“So where is she?” Aiden asked, not even bothered by Sophia mockery.
“She was on the last row bookshelf. Go find her yourself.” Sophia finally answered. She continued studying when actually she does not understand a single thing what was written in the book.
Then, Aiden immediately headed to where Mabella is.
“Hey pretty, you study?”
“Do I look like I’m watering plant? Are you the same as Marcos? You blind too?”
Adam only gave a smile. “How can a guy who is handsome as me, blind? Ahh, no, you’re right. I’m blind, blinded by your face that too gorgeous.”
“Oh wow, that so sick.” Sophia continued to ignore Adam.
Emma who was there to only watch their situation. She notices that Adam tries to hit Sophia but she also notices that Adam is not being serious. It’s good that Sophia is not easily swayed by the sweet words.
Aiden’s eyes glanced at the various books arranged on the shelves.
‘There are too many books and is there any person who read all of this.’ Aiden wondered.
Well, probably not him.
When his eyes catch the figure of Mabella, he smiled brightly like a sudden beam of sunlight.
Aiden without warning put his hand on Mabella shoulder, making Mabella flinched.
Mabella turned around her head to look who is behind her. When she saw Aiden, she become flustered that make her pushed Aiden’s hand without purpose.
“Why? Why did you push my hand away? Is my hand that dirty?” Aiden asked, not satisfied with Mabella's actions.
“No-no. Your hand, it’s not dirty, it's just that of-of course I would push your hand. You-you should at least greet me so that I was not that surprised.”.”
“Oh, you were surprised. I see. Okay, hye Mabel. So, can I put my hand on your shoulder again?” Aiden put his hand on Mabella’s shoulder again without noticing Mabella’s red face.
“N-no!” Mabella almost yelling. She he took a step back, moving away from Aiden.
Right now Mabella felt butterflies in her stomach, but no, she can never get close to this guy. He might seem kind, but who knows that he is actually dangerous. At any time, he can melt her heart so thanks, no, let’s stay in a safe zone.
“But you said earlier you was surprised. Now that I greeted you and you know I was here, I can put my hand on your shoulder, right?” Aiden raised his left eyebrow, still not satisfied with this current situation.
“You-you still can’t! I mean, I-I like you so I was nervous that-that I could just die.”
Aiden make a face full of confusion before he finally understand the meaning of Mabella’s action.
“Oh.” Aiden nodded his head. So, that’s how it is. He never like people so obviously he does not know about this.
But it’s weird. Compare to his ex-girlfriends, they like to do more than put a hand on the shoulder such as hugging so he didn't think it was a problem for him.
Nah, right now, he is dealing with Mabella. Mabella is interesting in her own way.
“I see, so, if you with someone you like, you will feel nervous and when you feel nervous you will die. Is that how it is?”
Now, Mabella’s turn being in the confusion. Did he seriously think that someone who nervous can die? Is he dumb or was really dumb?
“Well-well, I -I guess so?” Mabella just agree with Aiden’s thinking. It’s too much trouble for her to explain the whole thing so let’s just go along with whatever Aiden’s thought.
“Wow, I just knew that.” Aiden nodded his head.
“By-by the way, what are you doing here? You-you know this is library, right?” Mabella asked, wondering why a person like Aiden will be here, in the library where a place like a heaven for nerdies.
“Surely I know that. I came here to study.”
“Huh? You?” Mabella asked with doubt.
“Aww, that’s rude.”
Mabella just shrugged her shoulder. For real, who would believe that Aiden who is famous for slacking off want to study, right? She wants to apologize because being rude, but she was not so wrong so let's just forget about it.
“Oh, can you teach me study?”
Hearing that, Mabella feels like the world finally comes to an end.
