“Ai- Aiden? Aiden! Aiden! Are you okay? You can hear me? Oh my gosh, please open your eyes widely.” Mabella held Aiden's face as she shouted his name. The half-conscious Aiden makes her super worried. If anything happens to Aiden, she might be the one who is in the wrong.
Aiden's eyes flicker looking at Mabella who was now on top of his body. His face seemed to think of what had just happened. So, a moment ago, he ran to catch Mabella, luckily he managed and became a pillow for her to land.
‘Damn, I told her to be careful.’ Aiden rubbed the back of his head that was bumped slightly on the floor. He was quite grateful when his head was still safe and not injured except for a little pain. Aiden then raised his head, looking at Mabella who had been calling him.
‘Golly gosh, is it even possible for someone to be this gorgeous?’ Aiden seems to be in his own world, admiring the beauty of Mabella's face. She looks like an angel who had glossy skin with honey sweet lips, and also with her braids snowy-haired that suits her. For a moment, Aiden forgot that this girl was a nerd.
“Ai-Aiden, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have fallen.” Mabella constantly apologizing, thinking everything happen because of her fault.
“Yeah, you really shouldn’t have fallen. I told you to be careful, but I guess it can't be help so it's okay.” Aiden answered in a tone that he, himself, did not know whether he was angry or not.
“Please- please don’t be mad at me. By-by the way, are you sure you are okay?” Mabella still worried.
‘Please don’t be mad at me? Heh, that’s quite cute.’
“Nah, I’m okay.” Aiden replied shortly. He then looks at his slightly injured hand when he felt a little sore on his hand.
Mabella eyes widen when she saw some blood on Aiden’s hand. Without thinking, she grabbed Aiden's hand and began to worry. “Aiden, your hand! We should treat your hand or else it will become more severe.”
“It’s okay, it's not even that hurt.”
“No can do! We should go to the infirmary!” Mabella did not listen to Aiden’s word, yet she dragged Aiden to infirmary room.
Aiden looked confused seeing how worried Mabella is, even though the wound on his hand was not even that bad. However, he kept following Mabella's steps and along the way to the infirmary room, his eyes cannot avoid looking at his hand which is held by Mabella. Unintentionally, Aiden smiles a little.
“Melly!” Mabella slammed the door and stormed in but there wasn't anyone inside. Without waiting for a reply, Mabella continued to rush towards the first aid kit that was on the table.
‘Melly? Oh, the nurse’s name? ’ Aiden rarely comes to the infirmary room so he doesn't know the names of the people who work here. He don't even know the names of the teachers who taught in his class, let alone the names of other employees.
“Sorry Aiden. Melly is not here so I'm the one who will treat you. I hope you don't mind it.” Mabella took Aiden's injured hand. She cleaned the blood before smearing the wound with cream medicine.
At the same time, Aiden observes Mabella's every move. He was a little interested to keep looking at Mabella who focused on treating his wounds. Mabella's forehead furrowed during treating his hand, causing Aiden to smile a little. She is a nerd but still cute. It's quite charming to see Mabella who is focused on doing something small.
“Mabel?” Someone abruptly called Mabella from behind.
Aiden turned around, looking at the person mentioned Mabella's name while Mabella did not take her eyes off Aiden's hand as she knew who the voice belonged to.
“Hye Melly.” Mabella greet without a tone.
“Can't you greet me sincerely? Your face has no feeling at all.” Melly made a bored face. The Mabella she knew, was always like this not cute at all.
“What are you doing here with some guy?” Melly asked while her eyes glanced at Aiden. A face she had never seen. Isn't Mabella not very fond of making new friends? Is that her new hobby?
“Treating him. I got him injured.”
Aiden just kept quiet. So, this is this school nurse that he never knew and what’s with Mabella’s attitude? Isn't her acting a little cold?
“You got him injured? You are the worst.”
“Shut up.” Mabella keep focusing her eyes on Aiden’s hand.
“And you, I have never seen you. What’s your name?” Melly suddenly change her positions to Aiden.
“I’m Aiden.”
“Then, I’m Melly. You got a handsome face, huh? I know that students here are handsome but I never imagined to this extend. Young people sure has a handsome face, huh.”
Aiden just grinned, hearing Melly’s babbling.
“Done!”
“You can replace me to work here.”
“What’re you talking about, Melly? The only thing I did is put a band-aid on his hand and moreover, you are the one who decide to work here so work properly, don’t keep slack off.”
“Euw, you are nagging like an old woman.”
Aiden just overheard their casual conversation. He noticed something, Mabella did not stutter when talking to this nurse. Does Mabella only stutter at people she's not familiar with?
Mabella got up from her seat. She put the first aid kit back in its original place before turning back towards Aiden.
“I will leave first. I hope you will be more careful after this, don't injure your hand again.” Mabella advises on Aiden before leaving Aiden alone in the infirmary.
Aiden smiled cynically.
‘Be careful, your ass. I got injured because of you.’
Aiden looked at his hand. He sighed when he saw the cartoon's handy plaster. Why the hell this sick room doesn't have a normal band-aid?
“Be careful? Isn't she is the reason you got injured?” Melly asked with forehead furrowed.
“I know, right?” Aiden shook his head.
“I will go first. Thank you.”
“I did nothing but sure.”
Melly then tied her hair as she looked at Aiden who was getting further away. She wonders, what is Mabella is going to do this time.
