chapter seventy

As I walked hand in hand with Felix toward my house, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. It had been a long time since we had been together like this, and I couldn't deny the fluttering feeling in my stomach.
As we walked, I noticed Max out of the corner of my eye. I could see the giddy expression on her face as she watched them walk by. I couldn't help but smile to myself. I knew Max had always been rooting for us to get back together, and it was nice to see that she was happy to see us together again.
As we approached my house, I turned to face Felix. "Thank you for walking me home, Felix. It's been a really great night," I said, feeling grateful for the way the evening had turned out.
Felix smiled back at me. "I had a great time too, Iris. I'm glad we were able to talk and clear the air between us," he said, his expression sincere.
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. It was a huge weight off my shoulders to know that we were both on the same page and willing to work towards a future together.
As I turned to unlock my front door, I could feel Felix's hand on my back, a gentle reminder that he was there for me. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to me.
As we said our goodbyes and Felix walked back to his own place, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope for their future. I knew that we still had a lot of work to do to build a strong and healthy relationship, but for the first time in a long time, I felt confident that they could do it together.

continue writing I walked to Lily's room and found her sleeping soundly. I couldn't help not to smile just by looking at her. I felt so happy that finally I could give her a complete, happy family.
As I stood there watching Lily sleep, I couldn't help but feel grateful for everything that had happened that night. Seeing Felix again and having an honest conversation with him had been a huge weight off my shoulders. And the fact that Max was happy to see us together again just made it all the sweeter.
But what really made my heart swell with happiness was the thought of Lily having a complete, happy family. After everything she had been through, she deserved nothing less than to be surrounded by love and support.
I leaned down and gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead, feeling grateful for the opportunity to be her mother and to give her the life she deserved.
As I turned to leave the room, I couldn't help but feel hopeful for the future. It was going to take time and effort to build a healthy relationship with Felix, but I was willing to do whatever it takes to make things work.
And with Max by our side, cheering us on, I knew we had a fighting chance.
As I crawled into bed that night, I couldn't help but smile to myself. It had been a long time since I had felt this optimistic about the future, but for the first time in a while, I felt like everything was going to be okay.
I felt my heart skip a beat as I read Felix's message, asking me to accompany Lily to the hospital. I quickly replied that I would be there as soon as possible, feeling grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with Felix and Lily.
I went to Lily's room and gently woke her up, explaining that we needed to go to the hospital to see her daddy. Her eyes lit up with excitement, and she quickly got dressed and gathered her things.
"I want to see daddy," Lily exclaimed.
"We're going to see daddy. Mommy is excited also," I smiled at her.
Lily beamed at me, and I could see the excitement in her eyes. It was clear that she had missed her father and was eager to see him.
As we made our way to the hospital, Lily chattered away excitedly about all the things she wanted to do with her father once he got better. She talked about going to the park, playing with her dolls, and baking cookies together.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness and contentment as I listened to her chatter. It was clear that she was excited to spend time with her father and build a relationship with him.
When we arrived at the hospital, we made our way to Felix's room. Lily ran to him and gave him a big hug, and I could see the tears welling up in Felix's eyes.
"I'm so glad to see you, Lily," Felix said, his voice choked with emotion. "And I'm grateful to you too, Iris. Thank you for coming with Lily."
I smiled at him, feeling a sense of warmth and affection towards him. "Of course, Felix. We're here for you."
"You should rest too," I added.
"Yeah. I think I should, but you're my rest, Iris," he smirked and I punched him lightly, feeling giddy and he laughed as well.
I rolled my eyes playfully, feeling a sense of familiarity and ease with him. It was clear that we still had chemistry and that there was something between us.
