chapter seventy three

I sat in the recording studio, watching Felix and Red as they practiced their duet for Red's debut album. I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over me as I listened to the familiar sound of their voices blending together.
As I watched them, I felt a surge of pride and admiration for Felix. He had always been passionate about music, and it was amazing to see him pursuing it once again, even if it was just for one song.
Red's voice filled the room, his powerful vocals resonating with every note. Felix's voice was softer, but just as beautiful, and the two of them harmonized perfectly.
I closed my eyes and let the music wash over me, remembering the days when Xefora was still a band.
When the song ended, I opened my eyes to see Felix and Red looking at me expectantly.
"That was amazing," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "You two still have that magic together."
"Thanks, Iris," Red said with a smile. "It feels good to be singing with Felix again."
"It feels good to be singing again," Felix added, his eyes shining with excitement.
I smiled at them, feeling grateful for this moment. I knew that this song would be special, not just for Felix and Red, but for all their fans who had been waiting for this reunion.
As they continued practicing, I watched as Felix's fingers strummed the guitar strings in perfect synchronization with Red's vocals. His eyes were closed, lost in the music, and I could see the passion and joy radiating from him.
Red's voice filled the room once again, hitting every note flawlessly, while Felix's harmonies added a beautiful layer to the melody. I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as I listened to their beautiful duet.
As the song came to an end, I felt a wave of emotions wash over me. I was so proud of Felix for pursuing his passion once again and grateful to Red for giving him this opportunity.
As they finished, Red and Felix looked at each other, grinning from ear to ear. It was clear that they were both elated and satisfied with how the song was coming along.
I couldn't wait for the final product to be released, and I knew that their fans would be just as excited. This song was not only a beautiful collaboration between two talented musicians, but a celebration of their friendship and the magic they could create together through their music.
As we all left the studio, Felix received a message from the hospital, so he immediately left and left me with Red.
"I'll drive you home, Iris," he smiled and I nodded. We walked quietly into his car.
The car ride was peaceful, with the sound of soft music playing in the background. I looked out the window, watching as the city passed by. Red's presence beside me was calming, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for his friendship.
"Are you okay?" Red asked, breaking the silence.
I turned to him, surprised. "Yeah, why do you ask?"
"You seemed a bit lost in thought," he said, a concerned look on his face.
I smiled at him. "I'm fine, just thinking about everything that's happened today. It's been a whirlwind of emotions."
"I can imagine," he said, understandingly. "But it's been a good day, right?"
"It definitely has," I agreed, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me.
"How are you these past few days?" I ask him this time.
"I'm doing fine, I'm so busy, but I love every second of it," he smiled at me. "How are you and max?" he added.
"We're doing good, we're still best friends, you know?' I chuckled.
then I noticed that he gave me a small smile, "Is there something wrong, Red?" I ask him.
"I've been avoiding Max lately, but I didn't know if she notices," he said, sadly.
"What? but why?"
"I'm catching feelings, Iris. I'm afraid to fall hard, especially since I've told her before that I only look at her as a very good friend," he chuckled and I smiled at myself.
I never knew this would happen.
"It's understandable, Red. You're just scared of the possibility of getting hurt or ruining your friendship with Max," I said, trying to reassure him.
"Yeah, that's it. I don't want to lose her as a friend," he replied, looking at me.
"But have you considered telling her how you feel?" I asked, curious.
"I don't know, Iris. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that kind of conversation. What if she doesn't feel the same way? What if things get awkward between us?" he sighed.
"I understand your fears, Red, but you won't know until you try. And if things don't go the way you want them to, you can always work on rebuilding your friendship," I said.
Red nodded in agreement, deep in thought. We arrived at my house and he parked the car.
"Thanks for the ride, Red. And for sharing this with me. I'm always here if you need someone to talk to," I said, smiling at him.
"Thanks, Iris. You're a great friend," he replied, returning the smile.
As I walked towards my house, I couldn't help but think about Red's situation. I hoped that he would find the courage to tell Max how he truly felt and that everything would work out for the best. But I would love for them to work things out, I wanted my friend to be happy as well and I can see that Red makes her happy.
I wonder what Max thinks about Red, but I don't want to be the person to tell Max that Red is catching feelings for her. It's best to leave it to Red to have that conversation with Max, I thought to myself. I didn't want to meddle in their friendship and potentially make things awkward between them.
As I entered my house, I realized how tired I was from the long day. I changed into my pajamas and settled into bed, my mind still racing with thoughts about Red and Max.
But soon enough, I drifted off into a peaceful sleep, knowing that tomorrow was a new day filled with possibilities.
