Ara's POV...
8:45 AM...
Even though I insisted Zach to join me for breakfast, he hesitated since he didn't want to shock my parents. By that, he decided leave through the windows. I just hope he doesn't skip breakfats. I walk downstairs to see my parents are sitting in the living room while having tea. They've finished breakfast earlier, so it was just me.
I walk to the dining room to see breakfast already served. My cooked japchae this morning, which is my favorite.
Yummy. I thought.
After 15 minutes, I finish my breakfast and put my dirty plate in the dishes. I wash my hands after and walk upstairs to my room.
10:50AM...
At Hana's house...
"Someone is surely busy with her make-up," Hana's younger brother, Seojoon says.
"Stop teasing your eonnie, Seojoon," says their strict mother.
"It's ok. Don't be too hard on him, Momma," Hana says before applying her peach lipstick. Junghwa had told her last night that he'll be picking her up.
Hana closes her lipstick and takes one last look of herself in the mirror. She had spend all morning getting ready for today's special date. She styled her hair into a wavy style, did her make-up, and put on her best outfits.
"Ah, you look so beautiful, daughter," says her mom.
Hana smiles. "Thanks, Momma!"
Hana walks downstairs. To her surprise, she saw that Junghwa was already in the living room talking with her dad.
"Junghwa?" Hana says with a surprised tone.
Junghwa turns his head to see the beautiful girl standing near the stairs. He became speechless just by staring at her beauty.
"Hana," Junghwa says.
Meanwhile, Hana's dad just looks at his wife who had been smiling at the situation. He knew that she understood better than him regarding this situation.
Junghwa walks over to Hana as her mom and Seojoon walks away, leaving the two teenagers standing face to face.
"You look beautiful," Junghwa says with admiration in his eyes.
"Thank you. You don't look bad yourself," Hana says with a shy smile.
Junghwa smiles back at the girl as they stare into each other's eyes deeply. Junghwa slowly takes Hana's hand, making her cheeks blush, before turning to face her parents.
"We'll be going out for a while," Junghwa says.
"You don't have to bring her home," Seojoon blurts out, making his mom smack his head suddenly.
"Ouch..." Seojoon says with an annoyed tone.
"Haha, we'll go now. Bye everyone," Hana says before waving goodbye at her parents and younger brother.
"Bye sweetie," says her mom.
"Take care," says her dad.
Hana and Junghwa exits the house and enters Junghwa's car. They put on their seatbelts before Junghwa starts driving off the neighbourhood, ready to surprise Hana with his plans for today's date.
12:45 PM...
At Rollins' Skate Rink...
After lunch, Junghwa takes Hana to go roller skating at the new skating rink downtown. Though Hana was having trouble trying to keep up with him, the two ended up laughting the whole time as Junghwa continues to teach Hana how to skate.
"Slow down, Junghwa," Hana says as she continues to skate slowly while trying to keep her balance.
"Only if you can catch me," Junghwa says before bursting out laughting as he skates to Hana's direction to help guide her.
"But here you are in front of me," Hana says with a happy tone as she stares at Junghwa's smiling face.
"That's because you're struggling to even move around," Junghwa says as he starts skating while holding Hana's hand, guiding her around the rink.
Junghwa's POV...
I continue to skate around as I guide a giggling Hana. She looks like she's having a lot of fun, and so am I. I definetly chose the right spot for us to have some fun today. Hana's been laughting non-stop, which gives me a happy feeling. I'm a happy man today.
"This is so fun," Hana says.
I turn my head to face her with a big smile. "This is only the beginning!"
"What? There's more?" Hana ask with a surprised tone.
"Yeah....I always have dessert in store," I say, making her giggle.
"You're full of surprises, Junghwa," Hana says.
A few hours later...
9:15PM...
Ara's POV....
I'm sitting on my bed while scrolling through Instagram. Since it is a Saturday night, I wanted to stay up a little late, since I don't have to wake up early tomorrow.
As I continue to scroll through Instagram, I notice that Hana had uploaded some new photos of her and Junghwa. They took the photos at the roller skate rink and a carnival. Both of them have big smiles on their faces, looking happy with each other.
Junghwa has his hand around Hana's waist, while Hana has her hand on his shoulder. I have to admit, they do look good as a couple. Both charming, they could be the ideal type of couple.
However, it's weird how I feel uncomfortable looking at them. I don't know why, but I know I shouldn't feel like this.
Before I knew it, it's already 10:30PM. I turn off the lights the room and exit. I walk back into my room and lay down on my bed. Time to get some sleep!
Monday, at school...
At the cafeteria...
"So how was your trip to Disneyland?" I ask Zach.
"It was cool. My sister kept asking me to join her on scary rides," Zach answers.
"Hahaha...that's lit," Grace says.
"Well, it was," Zach says.
The five of us resume with our lunch, when suddenly, a girl with strawberry blonde hair walks to our table, along with a girl with black hair, who is none other than her best friend. Oh great...
"Hey kids! Talking about me?" the girl with strawberry blonde hair ask in an arrogant tone.
"We have better things to talk about, Tracy," Grace says.
Tracy Jones...she's not the typical "mean girl" from teen movies. This girl could look so sweet one second, it's hard for you to even realize that she's been bad mouthing you behind your back. Well, until you actually become the talk of the whole school (in a bad way), thanks to her. Her sidekick, Bianca, is no different from her.
And at this point, my friends and I literally knows her little doings pretty well. That's why we don't mingle with anyone who is associated to her (in which she literally tries to mingle with the whole school, just to get more sidekicks).
"Whatever," says Tracy as she grabs her Iphone from her pocket. "So..I heard you got rejected by the popular guy.."
Bianca burst out an evil laugh at me. She sounds like a total witch. I really didn't want to deal with these losers right now, but hey, there's no other way than just to give them a comeback.
"He didn't reject me, for your information! He has a girlfriend," I say with an annoyed tone.
"At least she didn't sleep with the teacher," says Grace in a sarcastic tone, making Tracy look piss.
"Hey! He told me his wife was being annoying, and so he found something special in me," Tracy blurts out.
"Any man would want to sleep with you, Tracy," says Bianca with a supportive tone to her best friend.
Just as Grace and I are staring at the two girls in annoyance, Zach suddenly wraps his arm around my shoulder.
"Really? Cause I don't see anything in you. Get me 10 shots of vodka, and I'd still choose to hook up with her than you," Zach says to Tracy as he tightens his arm around my shoulder. I begin to feel a little nervous at my best friend.
Wait...did Zach just said that he rather hook up with me than Tracy? Ok, maybe he was only trying to piss her off, but seriously? I need to have some talk with this boy!
Tracy puts on a sour face after hearing Zach's sentence. She eventually leaves our table, along with Bianca following her. After the two girls left, I look at Zach and raise one of my eyebrows.
"What?" Zach ask.
"Thanks for defending me from those girls, Zach. But seriously..did you really thought about hooking up with me?"
"Ooohh...this is hot," Junghwa adds in a childish manner.
Zach's face begins to blush a deep shade of red. He looks like a boiled tomato under the hot summer sun. Hahaha, a bit cheesy? Out of a sudden, Zach takes a deep breath before answering to my question.
"What can I say? You're smokin' hot, Ara," Zach states shyly.
I couldn't believe what I just heard...Zach just let out some bold words. This time it was my turn to blush a like a tomato. Even Grace has her jaws dropped. This is wayyy too much to handle.
"Haha..ok, it was a joke. I would never thought about doing anything inappropriate to you. You're my friend. I was just trying to piss those girls off."
Literally I could still feel my cheeks blushing a deep shade of red. Yet, I need to shake this off. After all, it was just a silly joke. Or was it...?
"Ok, enough with all of that! Shall we continue our lunch?" Zach ask.
"Umm..ok," I answer awkwardly.
With that, we continue our lunch while trying to talk about other things.
After school...
At Junghwa's house...
I'm in the middle of my lesson with Junghwa. He picked up on yesterday's lesson. Little did he know, I was actually stealing glances at him.
I begin to stare into his beautiful brown eyes. Damn, Junghwa is one interesting guy! His beautiful black hair really suits his deep brown eyes. Not to mention he has the coolest smile ever. If I have to choose one word to describe him.. it would be, Breathtaking!
Junghwa eventually realize my awkward stare. He lets out a small chuckle which makes me snap back to reality with red cheeks.
"Ok..umm, back to the lesson," Junghwa says.
"Ohh..ok," I answer.
An hour passed, signaling the lesson has come to an end..
"Nice," Junghwa adds. I give him a small smile in return as I continue to play the piano. Time flies, and our lesson eventually comes to an end.
"That's for today, Prodigy," says Junghwa as he gets up from our seat. "We should go for ice cream for a celebration."
I put my hands on my hips as I raise one of my eyebrow. "Won't that make Hana jealous?"
"Only if we ever kiss, Ara," says Junghwa before he gives her a small chuckle, making her to stare at him in disbelief.
"Ok, that was a dumb joke," says Junghwa.
Ara lets out a small smile at her cheesy friend. "Let's just go, Silly Junghwa!"
"You're the silly one," Junghwa says in a playful manner.
We walk out of the house and heads to the ice cream parlor. During the walk, I decided to ask about his date with Hana.
"So...how did the date went with my cousin?" I ask him in a casual tone.
"It was legit! Man, she's definetly falling head over heals for me," Junghwa says in a confident tone.
I smirk at him. "Yeah, right. You aren't also falling for her..."
"She's gorgeous! What can I say?" Junghwa states.
"Yeah," I answer, though deep down I felt sort of hurt inside. Weird.
"Ah, we're here," Junghwa says as he drags me to the ice cream parlor in front of us. For today, Junghwa decides to order a double scoop caramel and dark chocolate ice cream. As for me, I decided to go with a double scoop strawberry and vanilla ice cream.
We start to head back to my place as we finish our ice creams. After a few minutes of walking, we finally reach my house.
"Thanks for the walk, and ice cream," I say.
"No problem," Junghwa says as he smiles at me while slowly turning his vision to my lips. I blush for a moment when I realized that he had been staring for a while.
Junghwa chuckles as he wipes my lips with his thumb. "Strawberry!" he says with a cheesy tone, making me roll my eyes.
"Yeah," I say while feeling awkward. "Well, I should go inside. Bye, Junghwa!"
"See you, Ara," Junghwa says, before he turns around walks away.
8:30PM...
After dinner, I start to do all my homeworks for tomorrow. Thankfully, there aren't so much homeworks for tomorrow. I continue to do my science homework, which I will continue with math and English after this.
Finally, I finish all my homeworks. I walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth and shower. After that, I hop on my bed and grab my phone from the small desk. I have a message from Zach.
"Sleep?" - Zach
"Not yet, but almost." - Ara
It only took 10 minutes before Zach replies to my text.
"Hahaha...on your comfy bed?" - Zach
"Duh!" - Ara
"Do you mind if I join? Your bed is wayyy more comfy than mine." - Zach
Seriously? This guy really needs to stop the flirty jokes. Yet, crazy to say that I actually enjoyed his jokes a little.
"You and me? On a bed? Again?" - Ara
"Haha..why not? We done it before." - Zach
"Miss having your hands on my waist?" - Ara
"Hey! It was unplanned!" - Zach
"Hahaha, ok I got it! I'm heading to bed now." - Ara
"Ok, goodnight!" - Zach
"Goodnight." - Ara
With that final message, I turn off my phone and the lights in my room. I hop back to bed and pull the covers up. The thought about Zach actually came into my mind though.
"Zach..you're hilarious!"
