Chapter 26 GET OFF HER

SCHOOL
The rest of the class hours felt like an endless nightmare for Gisella as she kept glancing at the clock from time to time. Her mind couldn't bare the heaviness of her heart as she kept glancing at the clock. Soon, the bell howled, class was finally over. She hurriedly packed her stuff into her bag and dashed out of the class without uttering a word. Desmond stared at her, his eyes flattered with pain and curiosity.
He swiftly picked his bag. " I'll find out what you're hiding, Gisella " He stuttered and quietly paced after her. Paola's attention was instinctively drawn towards them.
" Look over there, Lore–" She nudged Loretta towards the direction of Desmond and Gisella. Her lips instinctively curved in a smile.
" I think this is the best time for you to act, girl", Bianca whispered and Paola bobbed her head in support.
" Bianca is right, Lore" She added. "You got to find a way to get Gisella out of the picture, that's the only way you'll have Desmond by your side forever." Loretta scoffed, her lips crinkled in a half smile.
" Sure, girls– I'll surely get her out of my way before she knows." She smuggled. "Come, let's go, I need to meet with someone, now." She picked her bag and sauntered out with Paola and Bianca, right behind her.
" Where are we going?" Bianca asked with a confused gaze.
" You'll find out soon. Just follow me", she replied. Bianca and Paola threw quizzical gazes at each other, a little lost.
" what does that mean?", they mumbled in unison and Paola raised her shoulders in a half shrugged. " Gosh, never mind. Let's go" She eluded and Bianca tilted her head in response." Yeah, right, let's go before she starts yelling "
" Hey!, wait for us", they both shouted as they closed up on her.
*****************
Gisella didn't pick the bus towards home. She strolled through the lonely street towards the grave yard, gloomy. Desmond quietly followed her a he managed to avoid been seen.
" Why is she going this way ?what is really going on, Gisella? ", he muttered with his gaze fixed on her. Just then, he accidentally stepped on a stone at the edge of the bushes he was hiding, which made him groaned out in pain.
" Ouch, goodness" He cried and fell off into the bushes, drawing Gisella attention.
" Who is there?", she swiftly, turned towards the direction of the noise, tensed. Desmond gasped, covering her lips with his hands, his eyes widened.
" Oh, no– I can't let her see me" His eyes deftly scanned around for a hide out. He noticed an enclave nearby and hid in it. Gisella's eyes, earnestly searched around but found no one. She tilted her head with a furrowed brow.
" Was someone really following me or it was just my thoughts ", she mumbled to herself but her thoughts just gave up without an answer. She shrugged. " I'm sure it was just my imaginations. No one is here on this road expect me.", she muttered and strolled off.
Desmond peeped out from his hide out and saw her back trod off in the distance. He instinctively let out an inaudible sigh of relieve.
" Huh–That was a close one." He stuttered as he sauntered back to his feet. He briskly cleaned of the dust from his cloths. His gaze immediately travelled after her as soon as he was done.
" Let's go now before i miss her." He crawled out of the bush, onto the street. But found no sign of her anywhere.
" Damn it!" He roared, thumping his bag on the road. "How could I have missed her!" He crunched down, with shallow rapid breath as he clasped his hands over his head. " Where did she go? " He cried but his questions went unresolved.
"Goodness, this attitude of hers is really killing me", he exclaimed. " I really need to find her now." He nervously added. Just then, his phone rang. He anxiously drew it out of his pocket, with the hope that it could be her. But was disappointed by the caller ID.
" Martin?" His brow creased and eyes squinted. "Why is he calling at this moment? ", he murmured, picking up.
" Hello, Martin– What is it? why did you call at this time?" He stuttered. "I was actually in the middle of something when–"
" When what , Desmond?" Martin instinctively cut in which made him pause in his words. " Anyway, just let it be– i just called to inform you about your mum's admission at the hospital "
"Hospital? –When?- Why- I mean what happened " He stuttered with a flushed face. "No, no, wait– What I'm I even saying" He lamented. "I mean which hospital? "
" LINCOLN HOSPITAL"
" Okay, okay, I'll be right there" He instinctively hugged up and glanced around for the last time. " I'll find you later, Gisella–" He mumbled. "I promise but I need to rush off, now. Please be safe– Mum needs at the moment. " Without hesitation, he stormed from there.
*************
Loretta's car pulled over in front of an abandoned old library. She gently got off the car, leaning on the door as she stared at the building with a smirk. Paola and Bianca deftly scanned around, nervous. The extremely odd and quiet atmosphere sent shivers down their spin as they sauntered out of the car.
" Um, Lore?"Paola called which made Loretta gaze at her direction. "What are we doing here?" She asked and Bianca nodded in support of er question.
" Yes, Lore, this place seems really strange. I think it' s not safe here– We better leave before–"
" Before what, Bianca?" She scoffed. Bianca and Paola stared at her, speechless with hunched shoulders and shrink back. She sighed
" Okay, i'll explain" She paused with a faint smile. "Um, you guys asked me to take the opportunity of situation and get Gisella out of my way so that is what we're here for" She explained. With a furrowed brow, Paola queried.
" And how does this place link to what we discussed?" Loretta's chortled.
" Such a funny question but I'll answer anyway– i got a friend here who can help us get rid of her easily. Are you okay now?"
They both nodded, not so pleased but gave in.
" Good!, now let's go in and meet him", she howled and lead the way. Bianca and Paola stared at each other and gulped.
" Okay, we're coming" They chorused and marched after her. Loretta got to the door and knocked.
" Hello, is somebody in there?", she called. Just then, the door slammed opened with a stout ,body built man, at the entrance.
" Miss. Loretta, you came" His cold voice, echoed and She tilted her head with a mischievous smile. " Yes, Bello, I've got a job for you", she replied as she trod past him into the room.
" Come in girls, don't just stand there and be staring at him like you've seen a ghost", she added. Bianca and Paola sheepishly grinned and paced after her.
" Alright, what do you want me to do for you", he responded as he locked the door and approached where they stood.
"I want you to get rid of someone for me." Loretta stated. "This is her picture, take a look ", she stretched out a picture of Gisella to him and he nodded with a sneer
" Call it done" He smirked. "I'll send you the picture of the scene later when everything all is done"
" Good! I'll go now– Make you leave no traces. I want a very clean job, okay"
" Alright, ma'am– As always "
" I trust you." She chortled and turned to her friends. "Let's go, girls–" She called as she strolled out of the library. Paola and Bianca hurriedly bowed to Bello and dashed off after her.
" Hey, wait for us!" Paola called. They soon got onto the car and sped off.

I don't know what should I say. It's a very nice story combined with sad and real struggle in this life. Everytime the characters in this story experienced sadness, my tears dropped onto my cheeks, come in feeling what they feel. Just a little bit fix for grammar and error spelling words written and it would be great story I have ever read. Keep in spirit for the writer in order to continue writing other great stories.
