Chapter 26 Fierce Clash

"Burst your flames, turn it into a will. A never-ending will, it will strengthen your flames, it will make your flames cannot be extinguished with a simple blow of the air... Your swords are forged with special stones that can create flames, because of the swordsman or the holder, it can make your swords powerful and unbreakable, just like the Violet Black Flame—" Sukune and Sakana began hearing voices in their heads. What they heard in their heads was incomplete. As soon as they heard the words inside their heads, they both took a step back.
Forgerin suddenly notices it in the distance. That caused him to stop seeing a sudden difference between the two. As their auras transformed their presence and the air around them, he lost his smile and became solemn.
"What happened to these two? They changed... And the flames in the blades of their swords. They are calm as the wind, it's making me sick," Forgerin said furiously as he stepped into a posture and prepared to attack.
"I don't think I'll last much longer... Then I'll unleash my wrath and go beyond my current limit, and by doing so, I'll have pushed myself to become who I truly am!" Sukune pondered as he menacingly stroked his blade. The sword of his blade he was holding suddenly erupted into flames.
His blade's flames were thicker than before, and the chipped part of his blade was being repaired without he being aware of it. Sakana's sword, on the other hand, is exploding into flames, but the flames on her blade aren't thick enough.
Sukune and Forgerin dashed to each other as Sakana charged towards them. With both hands, he swung his blade from left to right at Forgerin in front of him. Forgerin immediately opened both of his hands and blocked his as energy flowed through his hands and withstand his flaming blade.
They then collided with his fist and blades as Sakana emerged on Forgerin's left side. She slashed her sword at his neck, but he crouched and evaded her blade. She then performed a front flip to evade his fists.
Sukune was abruptly sent back by a great force. He was rolled to the ground and kneeled in the distance, blinking and looking in front of him to see where Forgerin was. As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Forgerin in front of him, prepared to smack him in the face with his fist.
"Weak and Slow!" Forgerin muttered as his fist was suddenly blocked by his blade. His eyes widened as another punch was ready to land in his face when Sukune grabbed his right hand with his palm and fingers. That made Harishima's eyes widen and he questioned his own strength.
"Don't you dare underestimate me!" Sukune said angrily as Sakana screamed to the right side of Forgerin. That caused him to tilt his head to the right, where he saw Sakana swinging her blade.
Forgerin dashes to his left, as Sakana slashes a portion of his right shoulder, which heals quickly. Sukune let go of his fist and swung his blade to the right, toward Forgerin.
His blade reaches his chest, but it is a shallow cut, prompting Forgerin to smile brilliantly. He abruptly lost his smile when he felt a part of his chest burn, as well as his right fist and right shoulder.
His eyes widened as he realized the tiny cuts he received weren't healing quickly enough. Sukune and Sakana race as fast as they can toward him, while Forgerin runs backwards and jumps backwards.
Sukune and Sakana arrive seconds later. As Sukune reaches him and punches him in the face with his right hand, Sakana swings her blade toward his right shoulder. And Sukune swung his blade up towards his chin with his left hand.
When Forgerin took the punch and slice that cut his right arm, he grunted. As soon as he lowered his head and saw Sukune's blazing blade approaching his chin, he came to a standstill.
That caused his eyes to enlarge in rage, and he yelled furiously, causing the ground they were standing on to shatter. As Sukune and Sakana fell, Forgerin leaped. He missed cutting him in the chin as they both plummeted and realized the ground underneath them was collapsing and shaking immensely.
They both gazed down to see enormous rocks and black subsurface roots eroding the massive structure. They dash everywhere as Sukune grunts and blood drips from both of his legs. He is bearing the pain by closing his left eye.
When Sakana looked up, she saw Forgerin standing on top of a massive dark root, smirking. As he flew down towards her, his arm was entirely healed.
He was faster than before, and he had his fist in front of Sakana's face before she could react. Sukune suddenly pushed her to the right, and he was slammed in the back by a tremendous punch.
Sakana's eyes widened as she collided with a massive dark root. She noticed Sukune spit out blood as he fell. Forgerin then laughed and shook his head left and right. Suddenly, a massive dark root grabbed him and lifted him, smiling and looking down at Sukune as he fell.
"Sukune!!" she said angrily as she dashed towards him as he fell. She kept sprinting past the big dark roots as though they were giant rocks. She approaches him and grabs him right away. She resheathed her blade, seized him with both hands, and flew out of the demolished massive pillar.
She fell on the earth after only a few seconds in the air. She then placed him on the ground while he coughed blood and placed his sword in the side of his right hand. Sukune could feel the anguish in his back as the flames stopped exploding in his blade. He couldn't feel his entire body and his vision was becoming fuzzy.
"Sukune! No! Stay with me! Sukune!" She exclaimed furiously as her eyes started to water. His back was hurting as he felt something was broken.
On the other hand. The mystery Captain and Farrel were out in the open on a dirt path. Within seconds, the unknown captain slayed the massive monster to his right. He was re-sheathing his sword. When he re-sheathed his sword, there was a faint glow of light blue flames in it.
They heard loud explosions to their right that made both of them glance. The unknown captain appeared to be wearing a mask now. It was a light blue dragon mask and he has a blue cape now wearing with a coat and a kimono on the inside.
He was staring in the distance seeing where the Capital was. He sees giant roots rising and destroying the giant pillar. He sighs and took a deep breath while shaking his head left and right. Suddenly, he sees a faint color of red flames in the distance to his left next to the giant pillar that got destroyed by the giant dark roots. He sees them landing on the ground and a three-story house blocked his view.
"Farrel, it's a fierce clash... It's already started, we can't stop it, and this village will be gone in no time. There's no hope, we have no reinforcements! The City of Woods can't make it here in time even if they try," the unknown captain remarked solemnly as the wind keep blowing his cape.
"Then you can leave, Captain. As the head of this village, I will die with it. Please, keep the name, Naruduna Village. Don't forget it, I was born in this village, if it dies, I'll die with it since I don't have anything else needed to be done," Farrel said solemnly as the unknown captain turned around and looked him in the eyes.
"I cannot, if you die, I will die, but I will fight! If I win and kill them all, I will honor your death and make your daughter the new head of this village, remember that, and be proud of your son," the unknown captain continued as he drew another long breath. He turned his head again, this time to stare into the distance, and he became concerned.
Forgerin on top of the giant dark vine was looking down at the ground where Sukune and Sakana were. He was giggling and smiling as he cleared his throat and raised his head to look at the sky. He sees the black sky and the full moon as he inhales the fresh air that made him relax.
"I warned you... But you two didn't listen to me! Now pay the consequences," Forgerin said as he swooped down at them. From behind, he was pursued by massive dark root spikes. They were numerous as they moved towards Sukune and Sakana in the ground.
Forgerin laughed out as hundreds of gigantic dark roots followed him from behind, each with a darkening force running around it. He caught a glimpse of Sakana's gaze. She slowly raised her head to stare at Forgerin in the descending sky.
She glared at him and showed her menacingly and overwhelming flaming aura. She was shivering in anger as Sukune couldn't move an inch of his body but he appeared to be still breathing. She stands and draws her sword with her right hand as she looked up and showed her glowing furious eyes at Forgerin.
His eyes widened as he abruptly came to a halt in mid-air. As he came to a halt a distance away from her, the big dark roots seized him. He sees the blade of her sword catch fire. It was thicker and heavier this time, and it was dancing in her blade, which made him wonder as he felt the heat all the way up where he stood.
