Chapter 28 Bird

Dianne was making her way inside the main office. She's completely recovered from what happened to her, and she already has a new sword slung in her left waist. She was dressed in the same outfit. As she opens the door, she is also wearing her mask.
She heard snoring as soon as she opened the door. As she arrives and sees the Sergeant in the distance looking out the window, she sighs. She looks to her left and right and notices Izami and Izagi who are not looking at her but are fully aware of her presence. Sergeant Shamp turned around in the distance, saw her enter the room, and closed the door behind her.
"I'm visiting," she explained as she noticed the three heads dozing off. They were asleep in their chair in front of the circular table. She takes a big breath and stretches both arms. She yawns as she removes her mask with her right hand and hangs it next to her sword on the left side of her belt.
"You're late, the meeting here has already ended, but feel free to ask questions because we're free this night," Sergeant Shamp replied, turning to stare out the window at the dark sky and moon.
"Sure, I sensed presence here a while ago and saw soldiers marching towards the Capital while I was in the hospital, what happened?" she asked as Sergeant Shamp took a long breath and looked out the window.
"Frankyn took his time at the Senzi Clan, he deployed a hundred swordsmen out of this City and the rest to the regions and villages to defend it, it's only for near the City of Woods. Only a hundred swordsmen," Izami replied, making her turn around and look at Izami, who looked at her menacingly.
"I see, huh! One of the deadly duo swordsmen of the City of Woods, Izami and Izagi... What a name, now... Sergeant Shamp, who made you think that deploying only a hundred men outside of this City would do any better?" she inquired again, drawing the Sergeant's attention to her. It was the middle of the night when Yuri Rou began to wake up.
"Well, for your understanding, the Senzi Clan is also quite powerful. They are a sensory type clan, and their senses are required, haven't you seen? You almost died because you were unaware of the impending danger!" Sergeant Shamp replied as they noticed Yuri Rou stretching his arms and shoulders and yawning. He opened his eyes because he still felt it was quite heavy. He goes back to sleep and ignores their idle conversation.
"I know, but I also don't know if the Dark that I fought will explode completely," she said in a high voice, shaking her head left and right. "Sergeant, let me tell you that the body that I witnessed or see is full of regrets and a very depressed unknown, a dark took over her body and almost killed me, for goodness sake, we lack Intel," she said in a high voice, shaking her head left and right even more.
"Correct, that's why the Senzi Clan is deployed all over the near regions and near villages of the City of Woods, and the ones who are guarding your post are also from the Senzi Clan named Kirin and Shisua, they are the two loyal swordsmen of the Chieftain of the Senzi Clan," Sergeant Shamp replied as Yuri Rou heard them and stood while closing his eyes. He yawns, stretches his neck, and looks to his left to see Dianne.
"Dianne, have you finally woken up? Are you feeling at ease?" he inquired as she nodded and smiled. She inhaled deeply as Yuri Rou turned around to see Sergeant Shamp staring at him.
"What time is it?" he inquired, turning around to see outside. Izami and Izagi exchanged glances, both wondering what time it was. Dianne looks around to see if they are aware, but they shake their heads left and right, indicating that they are not. She gave them each a blank expression. She then turns around as Izami and Izagi facepalm.
"It's the middle of the night, Sir," Sergeant Shamp said, turning to face Yuri Rou on his left. He returns to his chair, nodding and clearing his throat.
"I see, do you think they've already reached the villages and regions?" he inquired, making a serious face at Sergeant Shamp. Izami, Izagi, and Dianne all glanced at the Sergeant, perplexed. She became aware of a bird soaring above the Capital and close to the window.
"No, Sir. They'll reach the regions and villages in a couple of hours near sunrise, why?" he said, staring at Yuri Rou, who was rubbing his face with his right hand. He blinks his eyes and scratches his head with his left hand.
"I'm worried, Sergeant Shamp... No reports from General McAvin or other regions or villages yet, even from the Senzi Swordsmans outside our City, it's too quiet," he said, clearing his throat and placing both palms on top of the round table in front of him.
A bird wing flapping sounds may be heard suddenly in the window behind Sergeant Shamp. It went down on the top right shoulder of Sergeant Shamp. That caused him to look to his right, where he saw an eagle with a knapsack on his back. In the little backpack, he notices a rolled letter behind the eagle.
That made his eyes serious as Dianne approached the round table. Izami and Izagi stared at the Sergeant seeing him grab the bird and grabbed the letter with his left hand and opened it. Izami and Izagi looked at each other and looked at Sergeant Shamp again in the distance on the other side of the round table.
"That bird, it's a wandering bird, whoever got that is a swordsman and he's very lucky in my opinion, who is it from?" she questioned, her gaze drawn to the eagle, which bore a scar on the left side of its face. He notices Sergeant Shamp unrolling the letter, and his eyes widen.
"It's from Sukune, he said he's heading to Naruduna Village, a threat of an attack is what led him to go there, he said also that he might be needing reinforcements, which he will be needed. He also said in the last that be careful and he left General McAvin but he alarmed him before leaving," he answered worriedly as that made his heart pound. He then looked to his left to see what's Yuri Rou's reaction. That made him sit down in his chair as he cleared his throat.
"Only nine swordsman is heading there, correct?" He asked as he looked at the Sergeant who nodded saying yes and immediately cleared his throat.
"This has gone from bad to worse! I lost consciousness because of dark swordsmen, and now this is what happened?" she exclaimed while face palming.
"Calm down! It's just a threat! There's no guarantee that the Naruduna Village will be attacked, for now, we need to make sure the other villages and regions are safe!" Sergeant Shamp remarked in a hushed tone as he noticed her turn around with concern.
"Sergeant and Dianne, go back to Senzi Clan Village inside our Village and alert them about this message, and they'll teleport a message to the hundred swordsmen we deploy, and deploy that eagle to where Captain J is, we need to see if he's safe and still with us, he hasn't deployed a single bird here which makes me worried, there's supposed to be four birds that are with us yet we only got one and it's not one of the four!" Yuri Rou exclaimed as he took a deep breath and stand again.
"Yuri Rou, please give me permission to send three teams out to scout different regions and villages near the City of Woods by sunrise," Izami stated as he noticed Yuri Rou turn to gaze at him.
"Permission granted, involve the other clans inside this village with you, Izami, just try it," he said, as Izami nodded and smiled at him behind the mask before abruptly disappearing. Izagi remained by the side of the entrance, giving no vibes.
"Sergeant, let's go," Dianne remarked, nodding to Sergeant Shamp. She turned back and vanished from where she was standing, but not before nodding to Yuri Rou.
"I'll be back, Sir," Sergeant said as Yuri Rou nodded at him and he also vanished. Yuri Rou sighs in relief as he shakes his head left and right and sits down comfortably in his chair. He goes back napping.
He's being blown around by the wind. The wind from the window caused him to lean back in his chair and stop napping. That caused him to pause and turn around. He moves away from his chair and toward a bookshelf.
He reaches for a dark old book on the bookshelf with his right hand. It was a dusty book that he subsequently blew on, causing the dust to fly away. He then wipes it even further with his left hand and notices the book's title. The book's title was History Classified. As he turned back and walked towards his chair, he cleared his throat.
He immediately sits in his chair and places the book on top of the round table. As he began reading the book, he could hear Frankyn and Locks snoring. His brow furrowed as he read the opening page of the book.
