Chapter 29 Little Reinforcements

A group of swordsmen was approaching Naruduna Village. They were in a dark, deep forest. It appeared that nine swordsmen were running into the ground and were on their way to Naruduna Village.
The nine of them are holding their swords in their right hands, as if they had recently clashed. The mystery swordsman leading the way had dark blood trickling from the blade of his sword. He was simply wearing a half-black mask over his mouth.
He also stood out from the rest of the swordsmen. As he sensed darkness in the distance, he appeared wary and calm. He looked around even further, finding a pitch black that caused his eyes to expand. This caused him to come to a halt, as did the other swordsmen behind him.
"What is it, Captain? Another Group of Dark monsters? If so, we should pulverize them again like we did the last one an hour ago," a soldier shouted in a high voice behind the mysterious Captain's swordsman.
"No, this thing is different, you cannot pulverize it. We found ourselves in a predicament, gentlemen. The Naruduna Village is under attack, quickly send a message to the City of Woods," the Captain stated worriedly, his right hand quivering where he held his sword.
Suddenly, one of his swordsmen behind him whistles. As the other swordsmen adjacent to the whistler were penning a letter, an eagle flew down near the whistler. After completing the letter, he rolled it. He delivered it to the swordsmen and placed the rolled letter in the eagle's little bag. Then it took off towards the sky.
"Follow me, keep an eye on your surroundings and back, this pitch-black darkness in the distance is no joke, and we can no longer avoid it," the Captain stated, causing everyone to clear their throats and become quiet.
"What do you mean, Captain? What exactly do you mean so we are aware?" a swordswoman asked. She was on the captain's left side. He turned his attention to view the swordswoman, who was concerned and sweating as she walked on the grass and dirt alongside him.
"It's pitch black, it could mean a portal to a dimension of the Darks, rather Dark Mobs, a legion, or an army sending their troops to attack a village like the Naruduna Village, we need to hurry," the Captain stated as his feet abruptly caught a string, forcing him to look down.
His eyes widened when he noticed a small black circular metal attached to the cord that had snagged his feet, with dark energy circling it. As soon as he raised his leg and released the string, a small metal linked to it flew up in seconds.
Their eyes widened as light flashed in front of them. A huge explosion occurred, bringing down four massive, thick, tall trees, and black smoke filled the air. Explosions happen one after the other.
As a big tree branch crashed on the ground where the initial bomb burst, a section of the forest was cleared, revealing minor holes and cracks on the ground. There was a single swordsman on the ground, and his sword had snapped entirely toast.
The unknown swordsman was a swordswoman who appeared to be dead and don't have both of her feet. Her mask was also torn into bits and half of her face was unrecognizable. She was smoking as the unknown captain appeared to be smoking and wounded and standing.
He was holding his sword to his right, with the rest of the swordsmen behind him. Half of his mask remains. It slowly fell to the ground as he seemed to be fifty feet distant from what happened. His right hand appeared to be streaming with blood as the black smoke faded.
His right leg was bleeding, and half of his kimono in the tummy area was ripped to reveal his six abs. He takes a breather as the seven swordsmen who remained behind him appeared to be kneeling. Two of them were heavily injured and were leaning on a massive tree.
"Wh-what the hell just happened?! A bomb... I didn't sense it, even a faint presence is nothing... And that bomb has energy, how can I not sense it?!" thought the unknown captain frantically as he coughed up blood, forcing him to kneel and stab his sword in front of him with his right hand.
A soldier behind him murmured, "C-Captain... M-my right hand..." That caused him to turn around and kneel. He immediately rises up when he turns around. When he sees one of his guys lose its right hand, his eyes widen. He then looks at the ground in front of him, watching his right hand, which was holding his sword, dissolve to dust. It was flaming and on fire. As he cleared his throat, he started hearing his heart pounding.
He approached the swordsman while ripping a piece of his kimono from the left side of his arm. Before that, he re-sheathed his sword and begin to patched his bleeding right hand.
He then casts a peek at the other swordsman, who is already standing and staring into the distance, terrified. When the unknown captain turned around, he noticed an unknown approaching them with a circular metal ball in its right hand. He tossed it back and forth in his hand.
As blood trickled from the left side of his forehead down to the side of his left eye to his cheek, the unknown captain stood and moved in front of his swordsman without fear. He notices the unknown, who is laughing and wearing a stunning mask, as well as carrying a sword on its left waist.
Suddenly, the unknown dark step on the swordswoman head that died because of a bomb. That made him shiver in anger as he crushed her head. That made all of the swordsmans behind him eyes widen in anger but they stand on their ground waiting for their captain's command.
"That's surprising... In the past, swordsmans like you eight would rush to me and try to kill me, but no, you eight didn't do what they did, which made me think you eight are different than the past, I'm sorry I have to kill her because she was the only woman in your group, which doesn't make sense in my opinion," the unknown dark said in the distance as they all saw blood start to drip in the ground where her head was crushed by his feet. Their faces were turning red as they were simmering with rage and desperately wanted to murder the unknown.
All of their eyes widened when they noticed a number on the side of the mysterious mask. The mask of the unknown is filled with bright white and red energy, and the number symbolizes a five. Their eyes widened as they pondered the significance of the number five on the side of his mask.
The unknown captain became aware of an extremely overpowering presence, which caused him to shake. He cleared his throat and strengthened his resolve as he drew his blade with his right hand and displayed an angry furious countenance set on killing. He could sense a grand presence in the unknown. After what he did to his fellow swordswoman, it was the wicked element of his presence that made him boil with rage.
"You! You have to pay for what you did to my comrade! I don't know what the hell that number means, but if scratching you is the best I can do, then I will do my worst!" the unknown captain yelled furiously, causing the unknown in the distance to smile behind the mask and shake its head left and right.
"Oh! Let's see, Swordsman! Let's see if you can scratch me like your fellow weaklings... If you can scratch me, I'll let you go, but for them, they also need to scratch me in order to survive, I can guarantee you won't touch me!" The mysterious dark remarked menacingly, cackling menacingly.
"Don't get too full of yourself!" screamed one of the swordsmen behind the Captain. The unknown laughed as the darkness in their surroundings vanished and they could see extremely clearly, although their wounds were making them grunt.
"Oh really?! You thought you could scratch me?! In the hundreds of years I've been alive, only one has managed to scratch me! He was a swordsman worth killing, but he died because of an illness, which is what makes me boil with rage!" the unknown dark exclaimed furiously as the ground beneath him was destroyed. They all heard tremendous cracks as he became enraged, but he quickly calms down.
They were all surprised to hear that one swordsman could only scratch. They all began to lose spirit, but the unknown captain remained tall, his eyes open, and his sword held menacingly in both hands. The mysterious dark in the distance laughed, nodded, and smiled flawlessly at him as a result.
