Chapter 33 Senzi Clan, The Chieftain

Dianne and the Sergeant were nearing the capital, which was located within the Senzi Clan's settlement within the city of woods. As soon as they opened the door and came into her office, they felt the presence of the unknown lady chieftain.
They could all see it was late at night and wondered why she wasn't sleeping. There were three of them, and two of them saw she was looking out the window at the dark sky.
"Can't sleep?" Dianne inquired, seeing her slowly lowering her head as soon as the mysterious leader heard her voice. A soldier stood outside the door, closing it behind them.
"We have orders from the heads, whoever you are, you must contact every swordsman you have deployed outside this village, and we have a message that may alarm you," Sergeant Shamp stated as he noticed her slowly turning around in the distance. His brow furrowed as he notices her crying silently, as if she is aware of what has already occurred.
"How could my swordsmen die...? They are at their peak! What the hell just happened?! Their presence has vanished but not for one, who really are the enemies here, Sergeant Shamp?! And Dianne! Those men who have died are kind good men, they have families... I thought we would be fighting average darks!" she exclaimed furiously as she approached her desk and punched it completely destroying it with only her right hand.
"You know already?" Dianne exclaimed, taking a long breath. Sergeant Shamp approached her gently, sighing, and choosing his next words carefully.
"We are only aware of average-type enemies... And we aren't aware that your men who have died will be fighting... I thought we said you all would be just scouting the area and helping people, but I guess that's not what happened," Sergeant Shamp responded, calmly. That made her calm down.
He looked into her eyes and sees it was furious but she was holding it in. She sighs as she face palms and took a deep breath. She then stretches the back of her neck as she stared at his eyes with killer intent.
"That's exactly what didn't happen, everything went sideways and horribly for your information," she said as she sat down and began to contemplate.
"Next time, instead of wasting men, I'll send my finest men, and next time, warn me that we'll be fighting high-class evil wraths," she continued, closing her eyes and disturbed.
"This couldn't be avoided, you should've been alarmed that the enemies are powerful since I got taken down, you're just saving your finest swordsmen in case of a war, correct?" Dianne questioned menacingly as the mystery leader stood and looked her in the eyes with killing purpose. As soon as she uttered that, a swordsman appeared from nowhere at the door.
"I'd watch my mouth if I were you, Dianne," the Sergeant warned her as he turned to look at her. They both made eye contact as a soldier who appeared to be General Rui stepped in behind them.
They both turn around, as the unnamed chieftain continues to lower her head. Her eyes were bright, and she raised her fist. She was angry, but she kept her emotions under control so she could appear as calm as the wind.
"What's the meaning of this Sergeant, and Dianne? And Chieftain don't put all your anger on that table, you're just harming yourself," General Rui stated as he sighs and approached her desk. Suddenly, he stops as soon as he realized there was a furious aura around her.
"Eight swordsman are already dead, Rui... They were all slaughtered each second! I made the wrong call, I should've sent Shisua and Kirin, no, no, I made a mistake," she wailed softly as she sat on the ground holding her head with both hands.
"Stop overthinking, they are swordsman's, Naika! You are a chieftain! Grow up! If you thought that was the worst, I need you to think again!" General Rui said angrily as he put her in the chair, grabbing her right hand.
"General Rui, how does she know they're dead exactly?" Sergeant Shamp inquired, prompting General Rui to turn around and groan. He took a big breath and turned around to face him and Dianne.
"She has dimensional senses through her mind, she has sorcery powers but not that powerful yet, she can sense the life of the soldier if she puts a mark on them, which she did to the hundred of swordsman that left, and as she stated, eight of them have already died, which made me really wonder who we are fighting," General Rui replied, his voice solemn. He was looking him in the eyes.
"A possibility of strong opponents, General Rui. For your information, our own swordsman that we sent hasn't sent us any letters from a bird, which made us all worried. Since the hour they left, we haven't gotten clarification of who we're really fighting, but all of the current powerful swordsman's here said they smell blood in the air and it was confusing them," Sergeant Shamp replied as General Rui began to think. He turned to his right and walked up to a window. He sighs as he becomes aware of a presence outside the Capital.
"You sent General McAvin, do you think he's dead, Sergeant?" he questioned, putting both palms down at the window as the wind blew in. He exhaled deeply and stretched his arms and neck.
"Yes, he hasn't sent a letter except for one. Sukune, the swordsman who is always with General McAvin. He was one of his five. This time he isn't with him because there was a threat of an attack on his village, the Naruduna Village where he grew up, we don't know if it's a trap or not but we can rely on him because he's powerful," Sergeant Shamp answered with a sigh.
General Rui looked up and noticed the sun rising. He could see it from distance, but the sky was still black and the clouds were dark. He notices that it will be morning soon. He then turns to face Dianne and the Sergeant out in the distance. Naika remained silent, she was the chieftain, and a well-known chieftain due to her business in the City of Woods.
"Naika... I'll prepare another hundred men with five superiors, and if you want, I'll join them, we'll leave in the afternoon," General Rui remarked as she stood. Naika wiped her eyes with both hands as she cleared her voice.
"No, stay here. Deploy Sergeant E instead, he's more fit, having been a past swordsman wandering in the forest, and his senses are above the Captain's level, even though every captain we have is so different from the rest," she said solemnly as General Rui nodded.
"Very well, Sergeant E, it is. By the way, the underground leaders want to talk to you in person, so head down there with me later. Fix yourself for now and don't waste time. It happened, let's just make sure it doesn't happen again," General Rui remarked as Naika nodded. He exited the room, leaving Dianne, Sergeant Shamp, and Naika behind. They are both standing as Dianne turns around and was also about to leave.
"Naika, Chieftain, the heads told us to warn you about the message from Sukune, that's all," he remarked to her as she turned around to face him. She exhaled deeply and cleared her throat.
"I have bad news for you, Sergeant. Our swordsmans who were there were killed on the way. They all got slashed one by one except for one, the Captain of the eight. He's one of my immortal Swordsman Captain and now his life is wasted and now there's a possibility that his body will be taken over by a dark and if that happens don't expect things to go on your way," she said calmly as she approached him while staring into his eyes.
"Immortal?" he inquired, prompting Dianne behind him to turn around and stare at him. She realizes she wasn't bluffing. Her expression became solemn as she sighed and looked her in the eyes.
"Exactly. There will be no reinforcements to his location unless the Captain who is still alive managed to beat that monster they'll have a powerful one but considering what is happening I don't think he'll win but I have faith," she said solemnly as she turned around and approached the window, noticing a light in the dark sky.
"How is he immortal? What are you talking about, Naika?" Sergeant Shamp inquired, clearing his voice. He waited for an answer, but she did not provide one. As she approaches the window, he makes an expressionless face.
"That's not for you to know," she finally said after a few minutes. Naika could finally see the sky when Dianne turned around and left the Senzi Clan's capital.
"Sure, Naika. We'll be in touch. We'll be deploying our own swordsmen along the way, and I'd like to say as last, we've heard rumors from the south that they're close to this City. We haven't taken that seriously because we need to focus on a problem one at a time in order to solve it," Sergeant Shamp said, turning around. He turned around as soon as she turned around and exited the room without giving any vibes.
