It's already midnight and I'm still awake. The guy named Amherst can get out of my mind. I feel that he hides his true identity. I feel his powerful energy covering his body. What kind of creature is he? Does he belong to us? Or is he one of our enemies that hides in darkness?
I stopped to think when I heard a series of knocks on the door. I slowly opened it and I was surprised, it opened up to me, my Grandmother, my mother and Aunt Salina.
"What brought you here?" I asked them.
"Oh, dear can we come inside, we have something to tell you." My Aunt Salina pleases me.
I open the door wide to let them come inside my room. I wonder what they will tell me about this kind of hour. My mother sat beside me and at that moment she held my hand, she was being too emotional that I never saw her.
"Mom, Why? Is there something wrong?"
"Thana, my child, the time has come."
I still don't understand what my mother wanted to say, I looked at my grandmother and Aunt Salina.
"Thana, there are many things that you will need to learn and there are many things you need to know." My Aunt Salina told me.
She paused for a moment and glanced for a moment at my Grandmother and my mother, do they feel nervous about what they are doing? Why is it difficult for them to say what is going on?
" Aunt, Please tell me… You make me feel nervous."
My mother turns to me again, which makes me feel more nervous.
"It is time my child, you are now going to Atenowa."
I was stunned by what my mother said I feel like I'm going to sink into my seat. Atenowa a place where I dream about it at last I can step on Atenowa. I will learn my magical power and my ability. There's an excitement I feel, but on the other side, I feel so nervous. I feel afraid that I can't make it. Why all of a sudden they send me there. Why did they try to hide that place from me?
"Grand Ma, Why? I asked her with many questions on my mind.
" For your safety Thana and it is time for you to learn and understand about our magic that only belongs to our family and you.. You are special and different from each other and even with us".
"What? I can't understand."
My mother handed me a cloak and a piece of cloth that will cover my face.
"You need to wear it until we get into the place."
"What is the Place Mother?"
"A way to Atenowa…. Mia will be with you and Orenda will guide you and Mia to Atenowa."
We carefully left the house. I don't know why it's like we're hiding who we don't know who it is. Who was Orenda? Is she one of my guardians like Mia?
We traversed the Huesca forest when my Grandmother felt a strange feeling so we decided to use our magic power. We fly behind the clouds where the night sky is calm and all the mortals are deeply asleep. In a few moments, we slowly landed in the forest of Huesca. We walked towards the opening of the forest where Mia and Orenda were waiting for me.
My mother hugged me tightly before she let me go with Mia and Orenda.
"Be careful Thana."
"I will mom, take care of yourself, okay? I glance at my Grandmother and waves goodbye and also to my Aunt Salina.
I came with Mia and Orenda without any idea what would happen to me in Atenowa. Mia and Orenda stand beside me and walk towards the foggy place on the coast of Atenowa.
(Aunt Salina POV)
The enemies are hidden in darkness, dark-skinned opponents with sharp fangs, red eyes that burn like fire they suddenly attack us. Their eyes are flaming and the sharp fangs that will devour you, it rages with anger they wanted Thana to take them and take them away from us. But, before the dark-skinned rushed in we blocked the way to Atenowa.
We need to protect Thana, she is special and the magic, power and ability dwells on her. We combined our magic power to protect her from evil. I, my sister Allegra and my mother Cordelia made magic spells to protect the tunnel towards the Atenowa. We formed a circle and pronounced the prayer. We hold each other's hands to protect the chain and don't care about the opponents around us.
"Dyce tenelais Lunan obturant ea parte cunicuhum consilio duscutumiam Black reginae optamus veneficas audiatur" (Our guide in the darkness of the moon, block thus tunnel and dispel the with black intentions on behalf of the Queen of witches our wish is to be heard)
The whole forest of Huesca shines a reason why the vampires stay away from us. They are dark-skinned that hides in darkness, the vampires…the undead creatures that subsists by feeding on the vital essence of the blood. They want Thana's blood and no matter what happens we will never give Thana to them.
"Stay away from my child Lazarus," Allegra said to Lazarus the leader and king of the vampires.
"No, you know that… I'll be back to get Thana". There was a treat in his voice.
"You will not!!! Over my dead body… I will die first before you get my child."
Lazarus just giggles; he is too determined to get Thana. The dark-skinned enemy is all departed threatening Thana's safety.
ATENOWA
I was dazzled by the light when we got to the place of Atenowa, amazingly my eyes narrowed from the beauty I saw. It's more than like a paradise. There are creatures like Mia a smoke-shaped human and others are just like me, the same with my age. Maybe, they are just like me who sent her to Atenowa to learn and control the magic that lives in me.
I follow Mia and Orenda just right now. I don't have any idea how my days will get through those magic powers that I needed to learn us, still a question in my mind. Is this like how grandmother teaches me how to use magic or it is too different from what I have known.
