I look around at the Place of Atenowa, I scan everything that I can see with my eyes. There are many like me who are just my age. Are they like me who has a special ability? Or rather a teenager who is not allowed to talk with other people just like my Grandmother did to me? Are they just like me who need to learn more about how to use magic?
I walk forward and keep an eye on this place, I am trying to memorize every detail that can catch my eyes.
A girl who had blonde hair was staring at me from head to toe. That moment I suddenly felt horror in my whole eternity. I don't know why? But her eyes are just like the eyes of Amherst too sharp, too fearless and her looks are frightening me. There are times I bow my head, I can't take any longer on how they stared at me. From the St. Claire Academy to Atenowa there are all the same, their eyes are frivolous.
I averted my eyes from her and walked with Mia and Orenda. I straight forward to the place where they went. When I entered I was stunned more than I expected from what I saw.
I see the magical element that dances into thin air, the earth, fire, air and water. I looked at Mia with astonishment. These are the magical elements that I tried to touch before. I move forward to the magical element; they are like crystals that gleam in my eyes. Orenda gets closer to me and walks with me.
"Are you amazed by what you saw?"
"Yes, absolutely. They are beautiful."
"You are right," she answered me.
I looked at the magical element, then I was smiling.
"You have so much to learn here in Atenowa."
"I know." I glance at Mia just to know what she will say about these things, but, apparently, she was too quiet and just listening to what Orenda said to me.
"Come with me, I'll show you around there are so many things you need to know."
I went with Orenda holding her hand. It was as if we were travelling to a paradise Palace. I saw many strange things. Strange things that are beautiful to my eyes.
There are so many magical things, strange creatures, maybe they are just like Mia. They are the guardians of other witches like me. Next stop, we entered a door that was covered by clouds and thin smoke. Then I saw others like me that are practising their magic powers.
"Thana," Orenda called me. I turn on her and she sees how this place amazed me so much.
"This is the Atenowa University."
"Atenowa University?" My eyes narrowed from what I have heard.
"Yes, this is where you will learn and practice your magic power."
"Orenda, I wonder why I need to learn my powers and the others."
I look at the others in this place who are too busy learning how to use their magic powers.
"What do you mean?" Orenda looks at me with her surprise
"I mean I was born as a witch and the magic lives in me, why do I need to do this?"
"Because you are special Thana, just like them... All of you are not just a witch, soon you will know... What I am saying to you."
But, no matter how Orenda explained, there are so many things that I don't really understand.
I follow Orenda where she will go right now we are on the outside of the Atenowa University. I never thought that there is a place like Atenowa, it's too different from what I think. She shows me the place where I can stay together with Mia.
Every witches student has a separate room here in Atenowa and just like what I did from the place of humans I had to go to the University to learn the magic. The magic power that I need to master that soon that I can use from our enemies just like my Grandmother always said to me.
At this time I must have been resting because of the circumstances that I did not fully understand. I was suddenly sent here. I feel so tired and I want some rest although the time is too different here to the place of a human. I don't know, but it's very different from what I'm used to in the world of people.
Mia joins me in my room to get rest, I know Mia needs some rest too. I lay down in my bed, but I am still awake, I can't sleep even when I need it, thinking about my mother, my Grandmother and Aunt Salina what is already happening to them. Mia notices that I was tossing and turning in my bed.
"Can't you sleep?"
"Hmm... Yes, I am thinking about my mother...all of them."
"it's okay, they will be okay, just rest tomorrow you will face another chapter of your life."
"Yeah, my chapter of being a witch."
Mia just keeps quiet from what I have said. I know that she knows everything that is really happening but she chooses to be quiet. I don't even know until when she will hide everything from me, and that guy Amherst he can't get out of my head. Who is that guy?
Just a few minutes I felt drowsy and in a few moments, I was completely asleep.
It was already dark when I woke up. Mia is just sitting in my bed waiting for me to wake up.
"Did you sleep well?"
"Yes, what is the time now?"
"It's already eight in the evening time for dinner".
I feel starving. I have had my last meal since last night.
"Come-on, let's join the others for dinner."
I just nod at her and follow her towards the dining area, Atenowa is too big. From what I think I see every girl like me comes out from their room and just like us they were also heading to the dining area.
The dining room area is big there are long tables set up in every corner of the room and there's a chandelier hanging in the centre.
I sat in the second row of the table and beside me was Mia. There are others who are sitting in the dining area, they are all smiling at me. I just nod to greet them too.
Everyone will be fascinated by the lights and magic that Atenowa has, from small things to different creatures that I just saw here like Mia and the others.
"Hi, I'm Trisha, you must be new here?" She greeted me, she had blue eyes and black hair and white reflection that enhanced her beauty.
"Yes, I am. It's nice to be here." I smiled at her and the other three just kept staring at me, perhaps they were scanning my personality.
Measuring the extent of my ability and the extent of my power. A girl with blonde hair came to my seat and she pointed at me and she motioned for me to stand in my seat.
