/ LIYANA'S POV
"My lady, are you fine?"
"Huh?" I blink. Once. Twice. Thrice.
"Are you fine, my lady?" The lady repeated, obviously worried while looking at me.
I touched my face and look around me.
"Am I alive?" I asked her and it took her less than a seconds providing me an obvious answer.
"Yes my lady," she said, chuckling. "Are you out to have a walk?" She asked politely.
"Walk?" I asked. What walk? Hell, I don't even know where am I!
"I'll leave you then my lady," she said and turned around to leave me.
"Wait!" I stopped her. "Where am I?" I asked her but she seems confused hearing my question.
"Huh?" She frowned at me. "You're in Cassopeia my lady."
"Cassopeia?" I asked and she nodded.
I look around. I am right then. I am in a different place. Rivendell doesn't look like this not even a bit. This place is a bit lively.
Flowers are everywhere. With trees and flying species--
"Are you sure you are fine?" She asked me again making me look at her. Right, I almost forget she's here.
"Huh? Yes.. I'm fine," I said and smiled at her.
"I'll leave you then," she said and left.
Now, where will I go? That stupid guy said the annex is dangerous. Gosh I didn't even get to hear what he is about to say because the door suddenly shut close and then boom, I am here.
And then a sudden realization hit me. Maybe that door is a portal to enter this place. I was scared of what will happen after the door shut close but I am here breathing just fine and I don't know if I should be happy about it.
I look around me and I am in a market I guess since vendors are everywhere. You see, even with the presence of magic, humans still have necessities you know.
"My lady, gosh you are so beautiful," A vendor called me. "Maintaining that kind of beauty must be hard," she said and smiled. "You should try our product my lady. This is effective and will help avoid wrinkles on your face." She continued showing me a little bottle containing the said product.
"Is it effective?" I asked and she immediately nodded. "Of course my lady. You see, this is popular among the ladies so you should buy before it'll sold out." She said very convincing but nah.
I smiled. "Okay. I'm going to buy then next time." I said and continued to walk.
"What? My lady, wait!" I heard her calling me but didn't look back anymore.
I came here only with my head, shoulders, knees and toes so where would I get money to buy that?
I dramatically sigh as I continue walking. I'm doomed. Really doomed.
"What will happen to me now?" I said emotionally. I look at all the people walking here and there but, I don't know them. Not a single one.
"What's this? Am I dragged in a different place?" I said.
I look at all the things and goodies that they're selling, and it's pretty the same in Rivendell. The people here is also normal. Even their language, their way of dressing, their appearance which means this place is normal and maybe I am the only one that is abnormal. I don't know them!
Normally, I am not the type who would appear weak but right now, I am crying inside my head. I knew no one and--
"You won't give me your money, you said?"
I frowned and stop to take a look at the commotion.
"What's happening?" I asked the girl at my side.
"It's them again," and she sighed. I frowned and look at the group of men. They are taking money from the people.
"Why's no one stopping them?"
"Who would dare?" The girl asked. "They are violent and if we don't give what they want, we would be in danger." She explained.
"Anyway, they only do that once or twice in a year and the guardians will be here to take care of them soon so it is fine. Don't interfere with what they're doing. Just ignore them and go on and mind your own business." The girl said and went back in their stall.
I frowned. The hell is that? I look at them and everyone just willingly give whatever money that is with them. And I swear, my blood is boiling just watching them do that. This is not right.
"Don't interfere with what they're doing. Just ignore them and go on and mind your own business."
The girl's words earlier rang inside my head before I could take a step further to stop those men. Right. I don't know them and I should not interfere with whatever they're doing.
"Yes. That's definitely the right thing to do." I told myself and turned around to go the other way.
"My daughter is sick and we need that money to buy her medicines. Please have mercy and give me back the money."
"Is it my fault that your daughter is sick? Get your hands off me!"
I stopped.
And without thinking twice, I turned around and walked near them.
"Hey, are you deaf? Didn't you hear what she just said? They need that money so give it back." I said.
They were shocked.
Everyone around was shocked. Even me.
"What did you just say?"
I rolled my eyes. "Is everyone stupid nowadays to asked again the same thing that they actually heard?" I said earning a sharp glare from them.
Once again, we attracted the crowd's attention. And among the crowd is the girl whom I talked to earlier.
"Girl what are you doing? I told you not to interfere with them!" I saw her mouthed at me and I just smiled at her apologetically.
I just can't let them do that. Not on my watch.
"Do you have a death wish?!" The man shouted at me throwing a magic ball right at my face but I was fast enough to dodge it.
And soon, magic balls are raining at my direction. Geez. That's really childish of them.
I teleported at the nearest stall beside me avoiding those magic balls but left a barrier making sure it won't hit anyone from the crowd.
And then I cast a wind spell lifting up those men up in the air, tying their hands with tiny vines and then I showed up.
"YA! YOU LITTLE BRAT! PUT US DOWN!"
"YOU SHUT UP OR ELSE I'LL LIFT ALL OF YOU HIGHER AND YOU WON'T GET DOWN FOREVER!" I shouted back.
They glared at me and was about to say something again but when they saw me lifting up my hands ready to attack, they shut their mouth up scared that I will not put them down which I won't really do.
Let them stay up there and enjoy the view here below.
"Hey!" The girl from earlier approach me. She look at the men in the air and then she look at me. "Goodness I was scared for you for a minute but seeing you handle them well, wow I am impressed." She said clapping her hands.
"I'm Mina by the way," she added, smiling. "I'm Liyana," I introduced.
"So tell me, are you one with the guardians?" She asked in a really serious face making me look at her with knitted brows.
"Huh? Guardians? What is that?" I asked in confusion.
"Yes guardians. Don't you know them?" she ask and I shake my head no making her confused.
"Are you serious? How come you don't know them?" She asked. "They're the guardians of Cassopeia. They always goes around to protect everyone and is always at rescue whenever a disaster happens that's why people dubbed them the 'guardians of Cassopeia' and it went on until now." She explained.
"Ohh I see," I said.
"So tell me, are you one of them? You see, you are actually a little familiar.." and then she grabbed my face with both of her hands to look at me closely.
"But strangely, you also look unfamiliar.." she added still analyzing my face.
"Geez," I said slapping her hands off my face. "What are you talking about? You are wrong. I am not one of that guardians or whatever that you are talking about." I told her.
"Tsk I am just asking though," she said. "Anyway speaking of them, they are here." And she pointed at my back.
