/ LIYANA'S POV
I can't believe this. I thought people here are normal. I am wrong. Very wrong.
They are weird and crazy, I swear.
"Come on," I said and look at them. "Will you please let us go? I already told you I am not that Aya girl you've been talking about." I said.
But none of them budge. I rolled my eyes. Gosh, this is frustrating me.
I told them I am not Aya but they didn't believe me and drag me here at their place instead. The one who's name is Jas and Calla keep on insisting I am lying. They said I am just pretending not to know them. Serena, the purple-haired girl is just staring at me. Probably examining me. The same goes with the other two guys who's name is Jester and Max.
"Do you really don't know them?" Mina whispered to me.
I look at her. "Do you think I am lying? I really don't know them. Promise." I said.
"But to be honest, you really look like Aya. I only seen her once but I am sure, you two look alike," she said. "But also, I am sure you are not her. But why are they saying it's you?"
I shrugged. "I don't know. Are you sure they aren't crazy? What if they actually lost their minds and--"
"Sshhh," Mina stopped me from talking. "They could hear you. Lower down your voice."
"So what if they could hear me?" I rolled my eyes. "This is all your fault. You keep on blabbering about them, now we are here." I said making Mina pout.
"Come on now Aya," Jas spoke again. "I know we made a mistake before but you can't do this to us."
"Liyana," I corrected her. "My name is Liyana."
"Aya please.." Calla spoke this time.
I close my eyes in frustration.
"Seriously, don't you all know how to pronounce 'Liyana'? The 6 year old kid could pronounce my name perfectly yet you all can't. What a shame." I said. This is stressing me please.
And then they kept quiet until Serena spoke breaking the silence.
"This isn't the kind of reunion I am expecting when I hoped all those years that you'll come back," She said, looking at me quitely. Her eyes express different emotions that I can't guess what she's feeling.
"When Miss Scarlet told us you left, I honestly felt betrayed. You didn't bid us good bye. You told no one. You just left and made us woke up the next day with the news of you gone." She spoke very calmly yet broken that I can't even look at her in the eye. I don't know what she's talking about but for some reason, it's hurting me inside.
I silently cleared my throat.
"And now that you are back, you have a new name and you don't recognize any one of us." She continued in a broken voice.
I sigh feeling a little guilty because she seems really hurt but what can I do? I can't just say I am Aya when infact I am not.
"Stop guilt tripping me please," I said in a pleading voice.
"I apologize for hurting you in any way but I swear to all the gods but I am not Aya and I am not lying or pretending."
"My name is Liyana not Aya. And it's not that I don't recognize any one of you but I really don't know you at all." I continued.
Then silence covered the whole place. I sigh. What did I drag myself into? If only I didn't let my curiosity eat me up, then me and Snow wouldn't gone to that mysterious building then I wouldn't be here.
My eyes caught the clock that is hanging in the wall and it says 11 o'clock. I needed to get out of here and find my way back before it gets dark. I am sure Snow is worried about me and she might come here to find me so I needed to get back as soon as possible.
I cleared my throat and stood up. I look at them who looks so down about the situation right now but I am clearly the victim here not them. How could they insist me to be someone that it isn't me in the first place?
"Look, I am sorry but I really need to go. I apologize for confusing you in any way but I am not the person you keep on saying I am. We shall take our leave then," I said and turned my back at them pulling Mina with me so we could leave.
"Wait!" Oh please. What now?
"I'm sorry but I am really taking my leave now," I said and run as fast as I can towards the door before they can stop me.
Good thing Mina understood what I am about to do as she also run as fast as she can.
When we were outside, we stopped confuse for a second as there are two pathways.
"Is it right? Or left?" Mina asked and I was about to answer her when we heard a shout from the inside.
"Please wait! Don't go!" We heard them calling us making us run for our life.
"Ahh whatever!" I said and pulled Mina to the left.
"Just run Mina. Don't let them caught up." I said.
"I can't believe this!" She yelled making me chuckle. Well, I don't believe this myself.
I don't even understand why we are running in the first place. It's not as if they'll hurt us but it's an instinct to run from people you don't know so..
Minutes after running like we are in a race, we arrived at the market.
"Goodness this is crazy," Mina uttered in between breaths. Beads of sweat are falling from her face.
"I know," I said fanning myself with my hands. "We should've teleported instead of running like that."
"Gosh how could you think about that just now when we're already here? You are unbelievable!" Mina scoffed at me.
"Sorry," I chuckled. "You'll not think about that when you're escaping death you know."
And for the second time, Mina scoffed at me rolling her eyes.
"Anyway, will you be okay though?" She asked. "I should go home now. Mother is probably looking for me as I didn't tell her I'll leave."
"Yes I'll be fine. You should go and thank you for not leaving me," I said smiling.
"Okay. Anyway, where is your house? I'll come and visit you if I have time." She asked that made me stop. House? I don't even live here.
"Well, uhm, just tell me where'd you live. I'll be the one to visit you instead." I said and she smiled telling me her address.
After that, she left leaving me in wonder alone at the market.
"I was here when I opened my eyes after the door closed so I am sure the way back is somewhere around here too. I must find it at all cost." I said and started to look around for possible door ways.
I can't stay here any longer.
But I saw Calla walking from a distance looking around. I gasped.
"How did they caught up so fast?" I mumbled quickly blending myself to the crowd. Gosh at this rate, I will be caught in no time.
I should have---
"Mmm.." Someone pulled me in a corner covering my mouth preventing me from talking.
Ya am I being abducted at broad daylight?! Really? Am I going to die now?
"You should stop moving and stay still if you don't want to get caught."
That's it. I'm really done for.
