/ LIYANA'S POV
"Ya where are you bringing me?"
"Don't worry and just walk." Max replied like what he is doing right now isn't a big deal.
He was the one who pulled me at the corner in the market and he is dragging me away and I don't have any idea where he's taking me now.
"Tsk atleast tell me where we're going. What if your---"
He stop walking and look at me with his deadly stare. I rolled my eyes. As if I'm scared. But he remain standing and was just looking at me. This guy is really getting into my nerves.
"Fine. I am shutting my mouth close," I said while zipping my mouth using my hands.
"Tsk." He said and continued walking again.
I glared at his back. This guy is very silent earlier but he actually got some attitude huh.
I couldn't even fight him back because he threatened to bring me to his friends if I do something in him. Grr.
"Come in.." He told me after we stopped at a closed inn around the market. Don't tell me we're entering here? And yes, I guess we are as he was about to open it's door.
"Ya," I pulled him back. "Don't you see the signage says 'closed'?"
"I know," he replied. "This inn belongs to my family."
"Ohh?" Okay. I should've just close my mouth. My bad.
"Come in," he said chuckling after he opened the door.
"Thank you." I mumbled.
I took a sit at the small dining area around the corner as soon as we are inside. I'm tired and my feet hurts. And that's when I felt the stinging pain from the wounds on my knees from falling when we were running.
"Gosh it hurts.." I mumbled wincing in pain when I accidentally touch it.
"Hey what happened?" Max rushed to me when he heard me and immediately gasped when he saw the look of my wounded knees and swollen feet.
"How did you get all those?" He asked and look at me.
"I tripped multiple times while running away earlier.." I explained and he sighed.
"Stay here. I'll go and get a medicine." He said and turned around to leave but stopped and look at me again.
"Don't go anywhere." He warned and then he left.
I rolled my eyes. As if I'll run away. I saw him leaving a barrier around before he went out of the door. Tsk.
I stared at my feet. Geez. I didn't know the wounds are deep. And then I remembered, the stones at the pathway are sharp.
"I should've not run away geez," I mumbled.
"I agree. If you didn't run away, you won't get hurt like that," Max said entering inside that startled me. I rolled my eyes.
"I wouldn't run away if only you guys believed what I am saying. Who would not be frightened when someone is insisting you to be someone else?" I retorted shutting him down.
But when I look at what's he's holding, my mouth hang open.
"You.. did you buy the whole medicine store?" I exclaimed. He is freakin holding two big boxes on his hand.
"I am not sure what medicine is best for your wounds and the store owner said all of this can cure any type of wounds so I just took all of them," he explained and smiled proudly as if what he just did is something to be proud of.
"And do you know how to apply that?" I asked and he stopped for a minute to think. Tsk tsk. I shook my head in disbelief.
"I guess not," I said taking the medicine away from his hands.
"I'm sorry it's just that Calla is always there to cure us that's why we never bothered to learn stuffs like this," he explained shyly.
"Yeah right," I said. I look at all the stuffs on the box and unbelievably, he is not lying when he said he brought everything. Different types of medicine be it liquid or tablet and many medicinal herbs. Tsk. Tsk.
I then started to clean my wounds silently but then I kept hearing Max gasping in pain while I try to stop myself from making any sound even though it hurts.
I look at him frowning. "What are you doing? Why are you in pain when you aren't the one who's wounded?"
"Aren't you in pain?" He asked worriedly while gazing at my legs where the fresh wounds could all be seen.
"Nope," I said. "You should look away or stay outside. I think you'll pass away first before I could." I said.
He pouted. "Tss. I am just worried. It looks painful just by watching you put that on your skin."
"Goodness just look away if you can't take it," I said and went on cleaning my wounds.
Mother always scold me if I'll react negatively when she's curing me after my training. She said that the more I think that it isn't painful, the less will it hurt so everytime I am in pain, I always tell myself that it is fine and that it doesn't hurt.
But I don't remember myself getting hurt because of training though but I remember her saying something like that to me.
"There it's all done," I said after wrapping the wound with cloth.
"Wow," Max clapped his hands proudly. "You are really one of a kind. Your a legend. Legendary person. A--"
That's when a flying bottle hit his face.
"Say one more thing and I'll make sure to throw you outside." I warned him.
He gulped and quietly settled at the corner and mumbled something like 'i am just proud of you. you aren't like that before bla bla'. I rolled my eyes. Crazy.
I peek outside the window and it's already afternoon. This won't do. I really needed to get back now.
"Hey," I turned around and look at Max. "Go outside and see if your friends are still looking for me out there."
"Huh? Why?" He asked frowning.
"We can't get out of here if they are still outside so you need to go and see." I said. "We can't stay here forever."
"Oh right," he said getting my point. "I'll go out and see. Stay here okay? And stay at ease, I will not tell them you are here." He said assuring me.
I nodded. "Sure."
He smiled and went out. I followed him with my gaze. Honestly, I don't feel at any way uncomfortable with him. And I felt safe when he was the one who caught me first and not his friends. I'm not sure but I know he won't put me in danger. Atleast that's what my instincts is telling me.
Weird but it's as if I knew him all along. I am sure he is like someone I know but I don't know who. But I am also sure I don't know someone like him.
"Ugh whatever," I mumbled. "I should not think of stressful things. Erase erase."
Instead of thinking about all that, I should think about how I will get out of here. Actually I thought about this earlier but I don't know if it will work but I will try my luck. This is the best way for sure.
I will teleport back to Rivendell.
