Chapter 9 The Lunch with Human

"The attack forced my pack to flee, but their fear of our resistance does not deter those who swore to kill werewolves. Due to the battle, I became separated from my pack and was able to flee. Since then, I've been living alone in the woods. I was looking for my pack. I have no idea what happened to them, if they were able to escape or not..." Lyn breaks down and is unable to continue speaking when she considers the death of a close family. It made her very sad. She can't stop herself from crying.
Gwi, on the other hand, can completely understand her current circumstances. He had been in a similar predicament before. The werewolf's horrible past causes humans to believe that they will always be a threat to their lives, forcing them to hunt the werewolves even if they are harmless. Gwi believed he was the only werewolf left in this planet. He is relieved to discover another werewolf alive, but Lyn's stories reminds him of a previous tragedy that tore his heart.
"It's all right, Lyn. We'd discover a means to locate your pack. You can live here in the interim. I would protect you," asserts the king.
"Will you? But how exactly? Aren't we now in human territory? This location is also extremely large. Is this some kind of palace?" Lyn inquires cautiously. She will not even make direct eye contact with him and will continue to try to avoid his gaze.
"You are correct, indeed, welcome to Hwon's palace. Now that you're awake, let me present you to someone who allows me to reside in this palace." Gwi greets her with an open hand and a kind smile.
"To whom?" Lyn is not yet ready to meet anyone. There must be many people in this castle who despise her. But the man in front of her wants to introduce her to someone beside him. What if they quickly evicted her or worse, imprisoned her?
"I'd like to introduce you to the queen Siera, my wife," Gwi says.
Lyn is attempting to comprehend his words. He wishes to introduce her to his wife, the queen. Is it possible that the man in front of her is a king? A king descended from a werewolf? How is this even possible?
Siera is currently in the dining room, waiting for her spouse. It's time for them to eat together for lunch. She is reflecting on the events of the past hours, which have caused her to be preoccupied. Was she simply overthinking and becoming overly sensitive? After all, she knows that Gwi always gives her his undivided attention, and he has done so for ages. He wouldn't quickly change his mind because of a stranger woman he met, would he? Perhaps she is simply overthinking it.
The door then opened, exposing Gwi, the king of her heart, who had come to join her for lunch. Siera, as always, greets him with her finest smile and rises from her seat. She doesn't want an uneasy sensation to make their connection awkward. She must cleanse her heart of all unnecessary feelings.
"The lunch is ready, my love," Siera says affectionately to her husband. Gwi responds with a smile to her friendly gesture. He also put a smile on his attractive face.
"Today, I have a special guest to introduce to you," the king says. Siera tilts her head slightly, but a smile remains on her face.
Gwi, on the other hand, shifted slightly, revealing a lovely silver-haired lady standing timidly behind his strong figure. Gwi's back robe was tightly grasped by the woman. She appears to be a lost puppy longing for Gwi's protection. Lyn has been clutching his robe since the first time they leave Gwi's room and come face to face with a soldier and servant in front of his door. She is too overwhelmed by the presence of so many people around the castle. All of them make her feel threatened. As a result, she keeps attempting to be as near to Gwi as possible, who promised to protect her and the only werewolf among the humans here.
Siera, who notices another lady grasping her husband's robe, is naturally disturbed. She can readily deduce that she is the one Gwi brought from the woods. He stated that his weapon had injured the woman. Despite the fact that the scene in front of her is rather upsetting, the queen is able to keep her cool. At the very least, she doesn't want to cause a commotion and aggravate the situation.
"Can Lyn join us for lunch?" Gwi inquires of Siera. Even if the queen does not approve, how can she reject her when Gwi has already brought her here? She reasoned that Gwi must have something to say to her about the woman named Lyn.
"Sure, let's take a seat," Siera offers softly.
