Chapter 23
His Birthday Gift
Collyne Keigh POV
This is it. This day is his birthday, I greeted him so it wouldn't be obvious that I had a surprise for him.
No classes today. Guess why? I canceled it. Haha I'm so freaking smart. Anyway I'm just kidding, no classes because it's sunday.
Yesterday I asked him in what way he would like to celebrate his birthday. I really wanted to have a big celebration but I doubt it if he wanted that.
He replied that he only wanted to have a simple celebration. Just the two of us.
He's so sweet haha, but nope, I won't let him have a boring celebration as long I'm in his side.
We are now on our way to their rest house. It's a good place to celebrate his birthday, calm and relaxing.
Of course that was the place where I set up my surprise for him. I hope I'll like it.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked him.
" Yeah sure what it is love?" I smiled first before talking.
"why are you celebrating your birthday alone? Don't you have any friends ?!" I asked him.
"I preferred that way, I'm used to it maybe." He replied.
So that's how it is? Just because he's used to it? So boring. When I'm celebrating my birthday, I'm also lonely. Nah haha I'm celebrating with the whole mafia and Gang.
It's a big day for them also.
" Isn't too boring?" I asked him again.
He shook his head while driving.
"Nope," ah, but I found it boring.
I didn't asked him question and just look outside the window.
"We're here." He said.
We arrived now? That fast? After he said that, I told them to get ready.
He went down so I went down too.
"It's so nice here!" I said happily.
I looked around. I closed my eyes and felt the air around me. The fresh air. Oh my god I missed this feeling.
"I'm so glad you like it" he said with a smile and put his arm around me.
He's really sweet, I snake my hand around his arm too and lean my head on his shoulder.
"Let's go."
"Ready." I told my companions.
"Copy." they answered.
As soon as we entered the house, they greeted us with a round of applause and a hyper greeting.
"Happy 22nd Birthday." They all said happily and of course with me.
He looked so shocked at what he saw. Surprise Kyle my love.
They have already started singing Happy Birthday to him.
They were all happy and smiling well they just try to frown otherwise they will be dead to me. Just kidding again.
Kyle grabbed my wrist when he saw who was the person who were holding his birthday cake.
His family, his mother, his father and his younger brother. If I could just dig his sister in the graveyard I would have done it. But geez that would be creepy.
"You planned this!" He whispered to my ear.
I only answered him with a wide smile. I'm so glad to see him happy. When I saw him smile, I feel better.
"Bro. Happy birthday!"
"Happy birthday son."
"Happy birthday son!"
His family greeted him.
Kyle still didn't react so his mom became sad. Maybe she thought that he was mad at them. Bur she's wrong because he missed them so much.
The three of them were surprised when Kyle hugged them. I suddenly missed my parent, a tears of happiness escape from my eyes.
I wish they were still alive.
I was also surprised when someone pulled me and hugged me.
"Thank you. Keigh." He whispered into my ear.
Too much noise around us but I can feel his heart, it's beating so fast like mine.
"Your welcome!" I answered, softly.
The party has already begun. While I was eating, Kyle's mom approached me.
He's not here, he is with his friends.
"Collyne right?" She called me, unsurely.
"Yes?" I said and smiled.
"Thank you for doing this Collyne, In fact it's a big deal for us." She said sincerely to me.
I smiled and nodded my head
"Your welcome Mrs. Dela Vega, I just want him to be happy."
"Just call me Auntie but it would he better if you will call me mama, after all you're my son's girlfriend" she said while smiling so widely.
Eh haha, she thought I was her son's girlfriend.
"Do you know? We've wanted to come back here for a long time ago but we're afraid that he's angry with us." She told me, I nodded my head and listened to her.
"But thanks to God. My Son isn't angry with us"
I smiled.
"Maybe she already told you about her sister. We love her so much. So until now we still can't accept yhe fact that she's gone. That's one of the reasons why we don't want to come home," She said.
"Ummh what's her name?" I asked her.
"Claire. Her name is Devine Claire." She replied.
I nodded. Claire? It seems so familiar to me, where did I hear that?
"All right, I'll go ahead now. Thank you very much about this."
"No worries."
After she left, I went to see my Kyle
When I got there, I saw his friends.
"Where is he?" I asked them.
"On the terrace" Dex replied.
What is he doing there? I smiled and nodded at his friends.
When I got there I saw him talking to his brother
"I know I won't let her go." I heard Kyle say.
"You're so lucky to have her brother, best wishes happy birthday again" he said to him and left.
He looked at me first and smiled before he left. I nodded at him.
I walk towards him walking while smiling. He looked so happy, I'm very glad this event go well. When I approached him he hugged me.
"This is my gift to you!" I told him to hand over the gift I was holding.
"What's this?" He asked me.
"Just open it!"
He took it from my hand and look what's inside of it.
It's a couple bracelet, I'm the one who made it. It's really hard to do since I didn't have the knowledge how to make bracelets.
The one on him has Keigh's property written on it while the one on me is Kyle's property.
"Did you like it? I know it's cheap but-"
"I love it. This is the best gift I've ever received." He said.
I smiled, haha he's so cheesy.
"That's not my only gift." I gave him a meaningful look.
" My answer is Yes." I said to him.
He stared at me. Confusion is visible in his eyes.
I thought I was just slow with the two of us? Is he too?
"What?" He asked me
"I said my answer is yes." I repeated.
But he doesn't understand it so I pulled him up and whispered.
"You're mine now."
"What?" I kissed him on his lips. Of course it's just an smack kiss. It's embarrassing because I did the first move. I initiated the kiss.
"You mean, you're my girlfriend now?" He asked.
I nodded and smiled at him
I was stunned when he lifted me up while saying repeatedly the word yes.
Hahaha he's too adorable. He was like a child who get toy he wanted.
He stopped shouting and embrace me. I chuckled when he kissed my forehead so many times.
"Thank you. Thank you for accepting me in your life. I Love You." This would be one of the most memorable day in my life, I hope this would last forever.
