There's a long silence and I almost forgot Hunter is still in there when he doesn't clear his throat again. "What are you still doing here?" He scoff and was about to say something but close his mouth and didn't choose to argue back.
I smile to myself, I did a great job! But he steps forward and harshly pushed me inside and made a halt when he makes himself a space and welcomes himself to my house. I look at him, incredulity. Where did he get those confident in him from?
I close my hanging mouth and close the door before going to the living room. Adrian and Brian switch the T.V on and watch some cartoons while Hunter in is the kitchen, I wonder what he is doing there.
I went there, getting curious about what he is doing in there. Who knows he's already stealing my cookies and ice cream? At the thought of it, adrenaline went to me as I felt annoyed.
"Sit," he demands. He points at one of the high chairs beside the island.
"I'm not a dog." I rolled my eyes but still followed. Just when my gaze fell on the smooth, shiny surface in the island table, there's a first aid kit in there and he's busy finding something. There's an ointment on the table already and other things need.
"Did I say that?" I scoff.
"Just like." He stands straight and looks at me. He then makes his way towards me. At first, I am calm as he continues to walk towards me. I look down to avoid looking him in his eyes and it is getting uncomfortable as he continuous to get near.
"Hey~ stop." I laid my hand onto his chest and gently push him away. He rolled his eyes, he held my chin and lift it to look at him, and turn it on the other side to get more access to my cheeks.
No one dared to talk to either of us, for me, it is a weird position. He's close to my face and with one wrong move, our face will get collide. Why on earth does he want to help me apply some ointment on my cheeks?
"You should've fought back," he broke the silence.
"How would I fight when you brothers were in there? Then they would get scared of me when they saw me, gosh na! I am their teacher so I shouldn't have to do something that will make their situation worst." I said with a frown. "And I told them to go to their room and so I fight back, right?" I rolled my eyes. "Next time, you should be careful and notice people around you. You always stare at someone not knowing she is fake."
"Why need to care? I thought you're badass like you didn't fight in front of kids back then." He put some ice cubes with silk-wrapped in them and put them in my cheeks so it won't leave bruises. "I know she was fake though,"
"That was back then. Don't compare what happened back then to today's situation. I became more mature and knows what is wrong and right now." I fired. "Then why still propose to her? Tss,"
"Ow~ you matured? I thought you were still a baby." I rolled my eyes in annoyance. What does he think about me? I am a baby who still drinks milk and was getting carried by their mother?! "SO it does affect you? You still love me,"
"Ow~ you're human? I thought you're a Monkey." He fakes his laugh and presses the ice cubes to my cheeks making me hiss. He chuckled. "Why it would affect me? I am happy knowing you both stick together until now," I said, sarcastically.
I extended my feet to kick him but he knows what I am trying to do making him move fast and avoid my kick by jumping backward. He stuck his tongue to me after my kick didn't hit him, being proud of himself.
"You lose?" He is now laughing in his victorious which I won't let happen. He arched his head back as he keeps on laughing and I take that as an advantage to pinch his stomach. This time, it's my time on laughing at him as his face falls into priceless and hold the part where I pinch him.
Soon, his eyes fall into me who's still laughing. "You Donkey, it hurts you know?"
"I only take my revenge though, and it is still not my full revenge on you!" I hold my stomach as it began to hurt because of me laughing very very hard at his face.
But then, I stops as realization hit me. I shouldn't have done that. How can I laugh— "You're beautiful when you smile but when you laugh you sound like a devil." I glared at him. My best death glare as he smiles ear-to-ear.
"Well, then compare to you, you look like chucky when you smile then laugh like a maniac." I rolled my eyes.
"Yah! I complimented you," He put the ice with clothing to the sink and went back in front of me
"Like I care,"
"I can't believe this woman,"
"I also can't believe you.."
He nodded his head before putting the ointment to his index finger, "You shouldn't have lie to me," He stated. "Dad slaps you with newspaper, isn't he?" He stared at my eyes, waiting for my answer as I also stared back at him with my slight teary eyes.
"He's your dad? Hmm." I nod after learning new things about him. We're enemies, not a friend so why would I know his background when we were in grade school? But sure, I want to meet his mother again.
"Answer me. Why did you lie to me?" He reiterated. I take a deep sigh, looking away.
"He didn't slap me, just threw the paper to me." He scoffs.
"I have a camera in my house." My eyes shut open after hearing him. Does he? For real?! "Now tell me,"
"Yes," I replied, "He did. But—" I haven't even got to finish my sentence when he suddenly hugged me, tightly. I wasn't expecting that.
