“Are you really okay baby? I guess not. You seems silent after your groupmates leave the mansion. I know there is something wrong.” Axiel ask her frankly. He can't see her like this. Her silent treatment is killing him. He is not used to it. Lyn is a cheerful girl and talkative.
“Its nothing. Don't mind me. I'm just exhausted because of the taping. Let's just sleep. I'm really tired.” she lifeless say before laying at the bed facing the wall opposite to him. Avoiding the question.
He forcibly let her face him. There eyes meet each other, Lyn see his pleading eyes. Want to seek for the truth. It breaks her heart. Axiel didn't deserve her. She's too emotional this time. Not able to control her emotions.
“I know you baby. Come on, tell me what's wrong. Can I be trusted for now. I am willing to hear and be your comfort at the same time.” coaxing her with words. Giving her a loving hug with a kiss in the forehead for assurance that it would be okay, she need to open up to him.
“I'm afraid Axiel. I really do. What if this relationship wouldn't work. I can't Axiel that's why I didn't want to get used to how you care and love me. What if I loss you someday. I don't know how to start again Axiel so please don't care to much. It's hard to get used to it.” she admitted. Knowing that Axiel will not be satisfied on her first reason to avoid it. Axiel has a strong feeling on everything.
“So that's the matter who keeping you silent. Can I ask a question to you?” he simply said. He understands what she mean. It is easy to read her emotions. That's her weakness. Even if she keep denying it but her emotions can't.
“Go on.” Lyn allow him. She didn't know what is he thinking right now but she hope that it's all good.
”Do you love me? Do you trust me?” two questions that will enlightened her. He ask it for her to analyze and understand what he truly mean by those questions.
If she love and trust him, she will regret saying those words right in front of his face. It hurts his heart when she say it. Did he lacked anything? He love and take care for her. He give what she wants. But why she say those words.
“Ofcourse yes but-”
“No more buts, you said yes so that, you need to get rid of those thoughts you have. It is not good to you and it hurts me. Nothing is wrong and I know that you're the only one I will love and I want to be with you for the rest of my life.” Lyn cry because of what he said. She come closer and hug him, so tight. She regret what she just said earlier. She mustn't let her emotions envelopes her.
“I love you.” Lyn's last words before passing out. It alarmed Axiel.
‘What happen?’
“Lance! Manang! Mom! Dad!” he shouted. He feel nervous and afraid of what will happen next.
‘Please baby, don't be like this.’
‘Your scaring me.’
“Baby wake up. Please wake up. I don't want to lose you. Please” tears flow from his eyes as he say those words. He hug her tight not willing to let her go.
“Son what's wrong? Why are you shouting?” Fernando stormed in. He's the first to come in before the others. They see him in that situation, him hugging Lyn at the bed.
“S-She p-past o-out d-dad. I-I d-didn't k-know w-what t-to d-do.” he stuttered while saying those words. His voice is hoarse because of his cry. Kyla and the other girls come near Lyn and examine her.
“What did you do son? Did you argue with her?” Mateo ask with an angry voice. He's freaking worried to his only daughter. Specifically that she has a heart sickness.
“No dad. We talk but I didn't argue with her, promise. I swear dad.” Axiel assured his innocence about the allegation towards him.
“Her pulse is weak. We need to bring her in the hospital.” finally Joanine talk. But why? What's going on to Lyn?
“Prepare the car Lance, now!” Axiel ordered. Lance leave immediately to do what his Master ordered. Axiel carry Lyn in a bridal style leave the room with the others following him.
“Prepare the cars now! Its an emergency!” Lance shouted when he step on the entrance of the mansion. Shocking those subordinates that are guarding the mansion. They panic but able to do their work right on what is ordered.
Axiel come out of the mansion holding Lyn into his hands and directly walk toward the car that Lance opened for him. His family and Lyn's parents follow them behind using a van when they go first.
Doc Vin wait for them in the entrance of the hospital as he received a call from Fernando. He's with his co-doctors and nurses. They instantly check Lyn when they arrived while pulling her toward the ER. All of them are cared when they see the result of the examination.
Lyn's heart has a hole in the right artery. Not big but it is a risk. Axiel approach him as he came out for the ER with a worried look.
“What's wrong with her? Tell me!” Axiel can't help but to raise his voice.
“Her condition is a sudden. Her heart has a hole and we need to do an operation as soon as possible to avoid much complications. Sorry Master because we just see her real condition now.” Doc Vin tell the result and apologize as well.
“What? How come?” Mary ask. She's worried to her daughter like the others.
“Do you have case like this in your family?” Doc Vin ask, confirming if Lyn's case is heritage on their family. It could be a reason why Lyn have this.
“Yes but not mine, my husband's family. His second cousin has a heart disease too.” Mary said. It can be, there's a big chance if they have a history in the family.
“That could be the reason. Your husband's family history disease transfer to Lyn. As like what she said in my first check-up to her, she has a heart disease like your that didn't have cure. Maybe this disease aggravated her heart condition and worsen it.” Doc Vin explain the possible cause of Lyn's current disease.
‘When your family has a history of a certain disease, it could be transferable generations to generations. No one knows who will be the next victim in the family.’
“Did she need a heart transplant?” Axiel ask. He can provide money for the hospital to find a donor for his baby. Even if Lyn need to be transferred abroad for her operation, he can do that just to cure her.
“Yes, it is the only way to cure her. Do you agree on the way of operation?” Doc Vin ask. Seems that's the only one way.
“I agree. Cure her and don't mind how much it cost. I'm willing to pay just for her.” Axiel assured Doc Vin that no matter what, Lyn's disease must be cured even it will cost him. Money is not permanent but health is much more important. We only have one life so we must treasure and take care of it.
“Okay Master. The hospital will seek for a compatible donor for her and we will do the operation as soon as possible. I take my leave first Master. I need to tell it in the management. Lady Lyn will be transferred in her private room.” Doc Vin take his leave after Axiel nodding his head as a respond.
Two nurse bring Lyn in her room using a stretcher. They slowly put her in the bed, fix her blanket and check those apparatus that is connected to her even the dextrose before leaving the room, leaving the family to take care of the patient. They will come over for a round every two hours.
“Son, we will go home first to get some clothes, cook food and buy some fruits too. Take care for Lyn for now while we are not here. Everything will gonna be alright son, believe on her, she's a fighter.” Kyla said while patting Axiel's shoulder. They need to get some stuff at the mansion to used while staying here in the hospital.
“You can go mom. Take a rest for now and you can come here tomorrow. I know you're tired as well. I'll take care of her for now. Just let the driver bring our clothes here later.” they need a rest. He's here so he can take care of her. And also he wants to be alone with Lyn. He's depressed because of the situation.
“Okay, just call us if something bad happened or you need something.” Fernando bid his goodbye and so the others before leaving the room. He let out a sigh before turning to Lyn whose peacefully sleeping like a kitten. So cute and adorable. You can't see that she's suffering.
“I don't want to lose you baby. You're my life and strength. I love you” Axiel take a nap after saying those words with full of love and sincerity.
Hours passed and Lyn woke up. She feel dizzy but its bearable. She saw the man she loved beside her sleeping peacefully. He looks tired that make her feel guilt and at the same time pity because of his position. I thought.
‘Is he okay in that position? My bed it wide but why he's sleeping at my side in sitting position. My bed is a queen size so why’ she decided to wake him up to let him join her in the bed.
“Baby wake up. Come and join me in the bed.” she shake him while saying it. Axiel moaned before opening his eyes. Their eyes meets each other.
“You're awake. Do you need something? Water, food or anything? Just tell me so I can get it for you.” a little of worries, he manage to say those words completely. He's sleep has been distracted but it's okay because his baby woke up. He's tiredness was gone as well.
“I didn't need anything baby. You seems uncomfortable to your position while sleeping, come here and join me her in the bed, it's so wide baby.” Lyn smile a lot that convinced Axiel that nothing bad happened to her. He smile and join her in the bed. He hug her sideward because Lyn stay still. The needle of her dextrose is place at her left hand so need to sleep in stay still position.
“Where's my parents and yours baby.” Lyn ask without glaring at him. She's busy roaming her eyes around the room but suddenly ask about it.
Axiel respond while his eyes are closed, “They go home baby. They will visit you tomorrow because they need to rest as well.” his voice is calm while saying but you can sense his sleepiness.
“Okay. Let's sleep baby.”
“Uhmmmm” he hummed and hug her tighter but it's not that tight, she can breath.
