Sage and Wade wave enthusiastically, welcoming you to join them on their exciting journey...
"Get out right now," she yelled, tears streaming down her face. He tried to speak, but she cut him off. "I said get out right now if you want to stay alive, Wade Callahan." He approached her, cupping her face in his hands.
"Please, mi amor, listen to me. Let me explain, Sage. Babe, this isn't what you think," he pleaded, his voice filled with various emotions, most notably pain. She couldn't understand why he sounded pained when he had orchestrated everything.
She attempted to speak, but the words wouldn't come out. Looking at his face now only filled her with disgust. She gently removed his hands from her face and took a step back. Her voice trembling, she began, "Wade Callahan, consider this my final warning. Leave this place and never be a part of my life again.
Don't you dare show me your despicable face ever again. And if you ever try to return..." She paused, reaching into her back pocket. His eyes widened as he saw her pointing a gun at his head. Before he could react, she spoke again, "Leave now, or I won't hesitate to end you, babe."
6 years later:
Sage's point of view:
"And when we go crashing down, we come back every time.
Cause we never go out of style."
I hummed along to Taylor Swift's "Style" in my car, waiting for my stepsister to come. It was her school picnic today, and our parents were supposed to pick her up. I headed towards the entrance and witnessed my sister engaged in a heated argument with a boy around her age.
She recently turned six, and she's the cutest kid ever. I usually don't care for kids, but she's the exception. I walked over to them and noticed both were crying. I hurried to Alisia's side, crouching down to their level. "What happened? Why are you both crying? Did someone say something?"
"He hates me," she sobbed. "Who is he, and why does he hate you? Please stop crying. Everything will be alright," I said, embracing her tightly. Alisia pointed her tiny finger towards the boy, who was now silently sobbing with a red face. I turned to him and asked, "Why do you hate her? Did she do something to you?"
He stopped crying, shaking his head. In a soft voice that felt oddly familiar, he replied, "I don't hate you, Alisia. Why would I?" I almost chuckled at their innocence. They were incredibly adorable.
Ryan smiled widely and said, "Of course, Alisia! You're my best friend. I like you a lot." Alisia, still in my arms, released herself and hugged Ryan. He reciprocated the embrace, and they remained like that for nearly two minutes.
I watched them in awe, hoping they would become a couple in the future. They would make an amazing pair, I could sense it. Before you judge me, know that I have a talent for predicting which couples will stay together and which won't. They broke their hug, and I wiped away their tears. Their faces were flushed from crying, and they looked like angels.
Before I could do anything else, I heard a deep voice shouting Ryan's name. Ryan ran towards the man and hugged him. I couldn't see the man's face clearly due to his sunglasses. He put Ryan down and removed his sunglasses, and our eyes met.
It was him.
As I saw his face, anger bubbled up inside me. It was really him. This wasn't a dream; it was real.
Wade's point of view:
It was her. The girl I loved. Maybe I still do, fuck. She was my best friend, girlfriend, soulmate—whatever you want to call it. Beautiful wouldn't be enough to describe this girl standing here. I realized we were both locked in a gaze, so I smirked, but to my surprise, she didn't even blush, which was unusual.
Believe me, she used to blush for everything.
My Sage has changed so much, and it's both disappointing and intriguing. She averted her eyes and began to walk away. I could still see the hatred and disgust in her gaze.
She still hates me; she still hasn't figured it out.
