Around 6 in the evening, we are still in the Pearl Farm Butik and Cafe having our girl talk, as Samantha calls it. Enjoying the beautiful cafe, still with the distinctive Samal culture interior. At the same time, satisfying our sweet cravings with their variety of drinks. My phone rings while I'm sipping my drink. Maddox's name is on my phone's screen. "Guys, it's Maddox; I have to take this." "Hello," I answered the call, putting it in speaker mode. "Baby, are you done with your girl talk? The boys and I are preparing something special for the three of you there. Let us know what time you will be back in your room." "Mad, we're almost done." Samantha and Lea nod. "We will be back any minute now. Why do you ask?" "To let you know that we already transferred Lea and Samantha's things in the room we shared. You guys can change there later for our dinner date, and the rest of us will be staying in Luke's room." The three of us have the same facial reaction hearing Maddox on the phone. We look at each other in confusion. Sam scrunches her face while Lea raises an eyebrow. "What surprise do you guys have?" "Baby, a surprise is supposed to be secret; it will be revealed later on. You girls have to wait and see." "Alright then, we will be back in our room a few minutes from now. Bye for now, baby." "Bye, I love you, Angel." "I love you too." "Ahhh, how sweet is that?" Lea teased, excessively blinking her eyes multiple times. Samantha chuckles, looking at how Lea is trying to look cute. I just roll my eyes at Lea. Before we leave the cafe, we choose some souvenirs that we can take home. It's around 6:30 in the evening when we arrive at my room that I share with Maddox. I'm in awe, looking at the three big boxes placed in the bed. "That's a dress box," Sam said. "Come on, let's open them," Lea hurriedly jogs to the bed and starts checking on the boxes. "Angel, this one with the yellow card is yours, the red card is for Sam, and mine is with the pink card." Lea wastes no time and starts reaping the tape placed on each side of the box. Sam and I are doing the same; we are as excited as Lea. "Yay, I got the color pink," Lea squealed. A pink Bowknot Off Shoulder Lace Up Back, off-the-shoulder, knee-length dress. Lea looks like a princess when she finally fits it. Well, at least she would pass as a careless princess. Samantha got the red asymmetrical shoulder Pleated knee-length skirt dress, which looks elegant and suits her personality. Luke clearly knows what fits for her girl; no one knows Samantha better than him. And to match my card, I got the yellow V-neck line Cocoon - shaped bottoming Oversized bow detail, which looks so modest for me. And for that, I approve of Maddox's taste in choosing a dress for me. When we finally fit our dress, we jump like innocent children, holding each other's hands, forming in a circle. Our boys made us happy again. The dinner is at 8 in the evening, and as Maddox instructed, we will have to wait for them to pick us up, and we will go to the dinner location together. So, we have enough time to fix ourselves and thank God, Lea and Sam know how to do my makeup. A few minutes have passed after we fix ourselves when there's a knock on our door. We look at each other with a smile on our faces. The three of us are excited as hell. Lea opens the door, and she jumps to Glenn's arms right away after opening the door. Glenn was fast to catch Lea and hold her in his arms. We all chuckle, watching them hugging and kissing each other like we don't exist in their world. Luke is head over heels to Samantha as Maddox is to me. "Baby, you look stunning tonight." "Thank you, baby; you look even more handsome tonight." "I know," Maddox said as he winked at me. "Too much bragging. Let's go," I said as I pulled out of the door. The others follow us. The wave of the ocean slapping at the coastal wall is relatively calm at night. And the breeze is a bit cold, it can calm my mind. I smell a memorable beach dinner tonight. "Hey, Angel, Maddox, you guys are here as well." I knew it was Cassandra before I even turned back to where the voice was heard. And yes, my guess was correct. Beside Cassy is the guy she introduced as her boyfriend and the other three couples standing behind them. They maintain a casual smile and gesture like what they did in the restaurant and on the beach. "Cassy, good evening. Yeah, Maddox arranged this for us. We seem to have the same arrangement of activities." "Yes, isn't it fun?" Cassandra said ecstatically. "It is. Have fun with your friends as we will with our friends tonight," I said, showing a half-smile. "Sure. Thank you, you too, guys." Told Cassy when we nodded at them. I am sensing some sarcasm while conversing with Cassandra tonight, but I choose to set it aside; it might not be accurate. It could be her typical behavior that I'm used to, and the new Cassy is strange. It would be hard to avoid Cassandra and her friends knowing we are vacationing on the same island. Although they've maintained a casual approach, I still don't feel comfortable around them, as well as my friends. Nonetheless, I am here to have fun, so I will make the most of it and keep ignoring their presence. "Baby, this is for you," Maddox said as he handed me a bouquet of flowers. "Thank you, baby, it's beautiful." The flower scent penetrates my nose as I sniff on them. A combination of exotic flowers that are rare and hard to find. It's the freshest flowers I've ever received from Maddox; they probably pick them from the island's flower farm. "Anything for you." Maddox helps me sit in my chair, and then he sits opposite of me. He hands me the menu, I take it, trying to understand what's in it that I think would be best for me. The menu list is quite strange to me; it's giving me a headache contemplating each recipe. "Mad, can you choose for me?" I said, not hiding a little distress in my face as I looked at him. "No problem, baby, I got you." "Thanks, baby, for everything. This is a dream come true for me, really." "Baby, don't mention it. Enjoy the night," Mad said as he pinched my chin. "I love you, baby," I said shamelessly. "Baby, I love you too," Mad said as he squeezed my cheek a little. I feel like a spoiled child. My heart becomes erratic having Maddox near me and even more with all the sweet things he does to me. It takes us over two hours by the beach to have dinner, talks about our relationship, and share our past experiences. I didn't even notice that the two hours had passed. "Angel, Maddox, sorry to disturb you guys. I was wondering if we could all have lunch together tomorrow. So that we can get to know each other and bond for a short time before we leave the island." We are about to leave when Cassy approaches us. Luke and Sam are standing behind us while Lea and Glenn just come close to us when Cassy asks. Looking at everyone's facial expressions, I can say they are puzzled about why Cassandra asks out for lunch. "That goes to Luke and Sam and even Lea and her boyfriend as well. It would be fun having you all tomorrow," Cassandra added when no one answered. "What do you think, guys?" I asked, turning to where my friends were standing. "We better think about it and decide tomorrow morning," Luke answered. "I agree," Sam seconded. Lea and Glenn nod as well. "Mad, I think the majority of us have the same answer; we decide tomorrow about this invitation," I said, turning to Maddox and Cassy, back and forth. "Cassy, you heard them. We will just decide tomorrow, and whatever our decision might be, we will let you guys know," Maddox said. "Sure, we will wait," Cassandra said as she let out an open smile. "We have to go. Have a good night," Mad said before we left. It sounds promising to have Cassy invite us for lunch, yet I don't feel comfortable having her and her friends around us. Who knows if she only wants to get our trust before she pulls another evil plan? Whatever it is, I don't wanna be her victim anymore.
