Chapter 43 Locked Up

"I can't go if I can't find, Denias!" said Marry.
"Forget about Denias, Marry! Because your safety is more important!" said Salsa.
"It can't be like that, Salsa! Because Denias disappeared because of me! If it wasn't for what I did at that time, Denias would be fine!"
"No, Marry! It's not your fault! Trust me, and forget about Denias, because I think..."
"What do you think, Salsa?"
"Because I thought Denias was dead!" replied Salsa firmly.
Immediately Marry burst into tears with a face full of disappointment, she didn't know where Denias right now? She also doesn't know if Denias is alive or dead?
Maybe what Salsa said was true if Denias died.
Just like Arthur kill to Jerry and his two friends before. Maybe Arthur did the same to Denias.
"Oh my God! What have I done! Denias, where are you!? I wish he was still alive!" said Marry with sobs
Salsa tightened her arms around Marry's body, she hoped that Marry could calm down, at least she had to think more clearly and put her safety first, instead of having to think about Denias, who of course she couldn't help.
No matter how much she regretted it, Marry couldn't change the situation, the only way she had to do was to stay away from the Davies family.
Ceklek!
They hear someone open the bedroom door.
Marry and Salsa looked at each other in unison.
"Salsa!" Mesya said with a smile.
Of course, Mesya's presence scared Salsa.
She didn't want to deal with the Davies anymore, and she came here purely because of Marry.
"Oh shit!" she cursed. Salsa immediately turned her face away.
"Salsa, where have you been? Long time no see?" asked Mesya.
"Stop your friendly words, Mesya!" Salsa snapped.
Mesya suddenly froze.
"You know, behind your friendliness there, is a lot of falsehood!"
Mesya was confused by what Salsa said, for some reason, Salsa spoke rudely to her.
"Salsa, why are you yelling at me?" Mesya asked in a very low voice.
"You know... Mesya, if my life is ruined it's because of the Davies family!"
"But-"
"Please, leave us, Mesya, and don't come near Marry! I know you're just pretending not to know, that your family is the spreader of terror from all this!" explained Salsa with emotions starting to explode
Mesya could only stare in disbelief, unable to do anything, could only be silent.
She had to endure what her adoptive family did. Even though she knew nothing, it was as if she was also a suspect in all of these terrifying events.
"Mesya, things are not good here, let's go home," whispered Romi.
Mesya didn't answer, but her feet followed Romi's invitation, then… for a moment she glanced at Marry and Salsa.
She couldn't defend herself or beg them to let her stay.
The only best way for Mesya is to stay away from them. Because the more she gets too close or gets into trouble with them, the more dangerous it becomes for her friends.
Maybe forever she can only be friends with Romi, and even then if Romi is still allowed to live by his family.
Such a heavy burden that must be experienced by a girl as young as Mesya.
Ceklek!
"Oh, why are you guys home?" asked Marry's mother who had just returned from the mini-market
"Yes, Auntie, we are in a hurry," answered Romi who represented Mesya.
Because at this time Mesya's tongue suddenly can't say.
"Oww, all right, be careful! And thanks for looking, Marry," she said.
The middle-aged woman was indeed very friendly.
"Uh, Salsa!" Now Marry's mother turns to Salsa.
"Married say, you in Surabaya?" She asked.
"Yes aunty, I miss Jakarta, that's why I went home," said Salsa.
"Oh, I see?"
As usual, Marry's mother invited Salsa to chat, only this time Salsa was suddenly more silent, not like usual.

In the basement, not far from the second-hand warehouse, and still in the area of the Davies house.
Denias just opened his eyes. He had been locked up in this place for 10 days, in a dark room, even Denias didn't know exactly when he was here.
Denias doesn't know the change of time between day and night. Here it looks the same, equally dark.
Denias got scared again and sat on the corner of the wall biting his nails.
"Please let me go, I beg you..." He said softly, like someone talking to himself.
The room was so stuffy it was hard to even breathe.
But the wounds on his body have started to dry. Arthur gave him the medicine.
I don't know what Arthur is planning, and I don't know what his purpose is?
Arthur let him live and fed Denias once a day, and that too with just a piece of bread and a glass of water.
Ceklek!
Footsteps were heard and someone opened the door.
Denias had already guessed that it was Arthur.
And sure enough, Arthur came.
"Hehe, you must be waiting for me huh?" Arthur asked with a sly smile.
Arthur turned on the light in the room.
The new light will be turned on when Arthur arrives.
"Are you hungry?" Arthur asked, and he also brought a plate of meat without rice.
Denias barely blinked look at the food on Arthur's plate, looking tempting.
Moreover, Denias is very hungry.
"You want this huh?" Arthur asked, and Denias quickly nodded.
"Alright, let's eat this meat, I hope you finish it soon!"
Denias nodded quickly, impatiently wanting to devour it without any leftovers.
Still, with his trademark satisfied smile, Arthur placed the plate on the floor, then Denias devoured the meat until there was nothing left.
"Wow, you like it huh?" quipped Arthur.
Not a word came out of Denias' mouth.
"How would you react if the meat you ate earlier was human flesh?" Arthur asked with a smile.
Immediately, Denias eyes sharpened, with a heavy breath.
"Ummm...." He almost threw up, but Denias held it in, then a smile appeared on his face.
