As usual, Johnny opened the door for her, and she got in without appreciating the gesture. He was not bothered about that. He shut the door before walking to the driver's seat. Stanley and Carmine got into the car too. Now, he turned on his ignition and looked at Ruby, who was fastening her seat belt and waited. 
When she was through, he asked, “Can we go?”
Stanley prayed silently for Ruby to just smile and respond positively. It was either that whoever he prayed to did not hear his prayers or did not wish to answer. Ruby ignored him and faced the window. After waiting for her response and none came, he drove off.
“I apologize, my Ruby. Pardon me and give me another chance,” he pleaded as he drove on.
At that point, Carmine was deeply touched and wished she could do something to help out.  To their surprise, Ruby did not cry as she used to, nor did she respond to his plea. 
When he was approaching the hostel, he pleaded again, “I am not proud of myself, Ruby, but don't help our haters to succeed.”
Afterward, he halted at the front of the hostel. Now, there was a problem. Even though Ruby, was angry and out to get even with him, she had not purged herself of the feelings she had for him. She waited silently for him to open the door for him. Furthermore, Carmine and Stanley sat back and waited anxiously for her response. 
When it was obvious that she was not willing to respond, Stanley spoke, “Ruby, you have every right to be angry. Just like he said, don't overreact. You have come a long way.”
 Instead of sitting in the car and listening to sermons, which could make her cry, she simply said and attempted to open the door.
“I want to leave.”
“Hold on. I will open the door for you," Johnny stated and she held on. 
He got out of the vehicle, walked to her door, and opened it. As a matter of fact, their relationship that day left everyone befuddled. 
“How come they are still relating despite the ugly posts about them between yesterday and today?” Adriana, who had been set free by the mall, asked Hailey as they walked back to the hostel.
“Let's watch and see. This could be a front.”
“You are right. Let's watch.”
“You are precious to me, my Ruby," Johnny assured her with his deep voice after he opened the door for her. 
Although she was moved by the voice, she composed herself and got out of the car without responding to his declaration. She stood aside and waited for Carmine. Likewise, Stanley got out of the car and held the door for Carmine. 
Then, she appreciated him, “Thank you, for this, dear. See you later.”
“It's okay. Take care.”
Afterward, she faced Johnny, who was standing beside the car and comforted him, “You are the best, Johnny. Be yourself and watch things unfold.”
Johnny nodded and consented with a suppressed smile. Then, he handed his bunch of car keys over to Stanley, who collected them and walked to the driver's door. They got into the car and Stanley turned on his ignition. Then, he looked at Ruby and Carmine, who were still standing and watching them.
“Okay, girls. Later," he said. 
They waved at them, and he drove off while they walked to the hostel. Now, Adriana and Hailey had gotten to the hostel's entrance. They walked past them and made mockery comments about their hearings.
“This is just the beginning.”
“Let's watch and see.”
Afterward, they laughed teasingly. 
Likewise, Carmine glared at them and mumbled, “You are the least of my problems now.”
However, Ruby was so lost in thought that she did not notice them or hear what they said. Soon, they were in Ruby's room. Carmine dropped her bag on the table and slumped down on the bed. Ruby looked at her exhausted friend and was moved with sympathy. 
“Carmine. You are tired out.”
Ruby pointed out, but Carmine did not respond. 
Then she continued, “Don't, worry. I will get lunch for us.”
Without her response, she walked out of the room and banged the door. To her surprise, Adriana and Hailey were loitering around her room, hoping to eavesdrop on them. She glared at them and walked on to the canteen. Meanwhile, she could feel that all eyes were on her with one thing in their minds - Two Minutes CEO. 
Now, her colleagues, who were chatting freely, shut their mouths the moment she stepped into the canteen. To their surprise, the chef ignored all the other students who were in the queue and served her at once. While the students murmur, but not to her hearing.
“Thank you, Chef. I need my sister's food as well.”
“It is all right.”
She collected her sister's food and walked away. Afterward, the disgruntled students, who felt cheated, ranted.
“This is not fair, chef.”
“What is the meaning of this, chef?”
The chef calmed them down with her explanation.
“I was interested in what you were saying, but the moment you saw her, you stopped. I served her so that she would leave at once, and you would continue.”
The students laughed and continued with their ranting.  
At Ruby's Room
She got to the room and discovered that Carmine had slept off. She set the food on the table and tapped on her.
“Girl. Get up and have your lunch. You are famished.”
Although Carmine and Stanley are not at loggerheads, they bear the brunt of Ruby's and Johnny's fallout. She sluggishly got up and sat on the bed. 
She looked at the food on the table and asked, “When did you go to the canteen?”
Ruby laughed softly and indicated, “Now. Eat before you sleep again.”
At the Canteen.
After Ruby left, Magdalene, one of the students in the queue, inquired, “Is he truly a Two Minute CEO?”
They laughed heartily. Meanwhile, Chantelle, who was disturbed due to Johnny's threat of reporting her to the authorities, was in the queue, despite her bruised face. She avoided any eye contact with Ruby when she got in. 
Then, in response to the question, another girl gave a sarcastic remark, “Let's find out from her.”
