Johnny just realized for the first time that he had taken a great risk. He looked at his father, who was waiting for his response. At once, he cooked up a dishonest excuse. “No one would identify me with the new car, Mr. Joel.” “Says who? You have to be security conscious at all times.” “I got it. Pardon my carelessness.” “Thank you, Joel, for reminding him of what he knew very well,” Sir Stewart remarked and they moved. “Young Master. When did you arrive?” Dominic asked when they got to Sir Stewart's reception. “Good day, Mr. Dominic. I arrived a while ago.” “Oh! Welcome.” “Thank you.” Now, they were in his father's office, and he admired it. “Your office is beautiful, Dad.” “Thank you, just like yours. Take your seat.” “You mean my dusty office?” He asked. Likewise, he took his seat and his father sat down too. Then, on a serious note, he looked into his eyes and asked, “What brings you, Son?” Now, he concealed his worries and answered cheerfully. “I miss you.” Howbeit, Sir Stewart would never believe that he lied when he remembered how he clung to him in his office. Then he asked again, “You looked emaciated. Could it be the schoolwork?” “Yes, Father. I didn't notice it. But I will pay more attention to my health.” The response was pleasant with to Sir Stewart, and he nodded in agreement. At the Campus. Although Stanley was not the expectant father, he got much accolade like the expectant father, and he was proud of it, for obvious reason, the baby would come from Johnny's true lover. He spoiled Carmine that day with different kinds of yogurt and for the first time in his life, he bought a pack of sheaths. “Thank you, for spoiling me with different delicacies.” “You deserved more than this. You have been a true friend.” “I'm glad to be useful to the people around me.” Stanley leaned over to her and kissed her lips. She withdrew backward and reminded him, “We are in the public.” “I know, and that is part of the treat.” They walked around the mall and she picked up a few things. Afterward, they returned to the house and discovered that Johnny was not back yet. “I knew it would have been a tedious task to get to the Vice Chancellor's office today," Carmine pointed out. Then, Stanley teased, “I trust my guy, he will not return without his Ruby.” Carmine, who was already happy with the treat, laughed like a baby. Then, Stanley locked the car and they got into the house. They sat in the parlor watched the television and rested. To their surprise, they slept off and Stanley woke up at 1:08 PM. Meanwhile, Johnny was not back yet. He picked up up his phone and dialed his number, to his delight, he picked up at once. At the Stewart's Complex. After Johnny promised to take care of his health, his father remarked, “You must be famished.” Johnny looked into his eyes and responded, “Yes, Dad. Have you had your lunch?” “No. We are just coming back from your school.” “Yes. I watched you on the television when you angrily drove off.” “Really?” “Yes, Dad.” Now, Sir Stewart got out of his swivel chair and headed for the pantry, and Johnny stood up too and followed him. They set the snacks on the center table together, an act that he had been exposed to since his kindergarten days. His father watched him and prayed inwardly, “I wish he would continue this way.” Afterward, Johnny said the grace, they ate joyously and chatted about his upcoming perfumery exhibition and final examination. “How is your project?” “It is going on well. I am almost through with it. I wanted to see my supervisor today, but I couldn't. All the same, I will see him tomorrow.” “Why couldn't you see your supervisor today.” “There were many visitors to the administrative block today,” “It is all right. You can see him tomorrow.” (Buzz) They looked at Johnny's phone and he picked up it. When he saw the caller, it just occurred to him that he did not inform him of his disappearance from the school. Then, he greeted, “Hello, Stanley.” “Guy, what are you still doing at the Administrative Block?” “I'm with my dad. I left the school when I couldn't see my supervisor.” Now, Stanley understood the cover-up and forwent all other questions that he had planned to ask and played along. “I see. Can I say hello to him?” “Go ahead.” “Good day, Sir.” “How are you, Stanley?” “I'm fine, and you?” “I'm good. I hope you are taking good care of yourself?” “Yes, Sir.” “That is good. Your friend's look is not pleasant to me.” “I have taken note of that, Sir.” “It is all right. When you are healthy, you can read your books and scale through your exams.” “I got it, Sir.” “Have a nice day, Stanley.” “Have a nice day, too.” Then, Stanley informed him, “Johnny, Hayes promised to be around this evening.” “Wow! That's good. I will be around before you know it.” “Okay. Later.” “All right.” After the call, they continued with their food silently. To Sir Stewart's surprise, no lady had called him. Unlike before that, he would have gotten up many times to pick up the calls of different ladies. 'My prayers are working,' Sir Stewart comforted himself, but it was as though there was a force waiting to make him eat his confession. After the meal, Johnny appreciated him and they cleared the table. “I will be on my way, Dad.” “What! You just ate and you need to rest.” “I will rest in the car while driving.” “That is weird. How can you rest while driving?” “I have no choice since you withdrew my driver,” he defended, and at the same time, intimidating his father with what would have been to his disadvantage. Now, Johnny was standing while his father was sitting on his chair. He frowned at his claim and hinted, “I will be at your school at 4:00 PM. We can go together.” “No, Dad. We cannot go together.” Now, Sir Stewart had gotten out of his seat and walked towards him as though he would hit him. Then, he asked, “Why?” “Because we did not come together. Besides, you are going to see your friend and I am going to see my friends,” he pointed out. Now, Sir Stewart was in front of him and he did not bat an eye. However, he preferred to see him act in that manner rather than what he saw in his office. He concluded that he cheered up and became himself after being with him, and that gave him inner joy. Then, he gave in, “It is all right. You can leave, but not alone. Let's go to the security department.” To him, anything is all right, as long as he would leave at once. “All right, Dad.”
