Then, he looked at Ruby, who was standing between the couple, and she professed joyously. “At last, I have someone I can call Mom…” She broke down in tears before she could complete her sentence. Then, Mitchell drew her to her bosom and made her rest her head while she let it all out. The bonding was not a coincidence. Ruby loved the parents of the only man she loved without knowing. Above all, the grandparents of her unborn baby. Nevertheless, Sir Stewart and his wife were unaware that they were in love with their future daughter-in-law, the mother of their unborn and much-cherished grandchild or grandchildren. Above all, the lady, who parried off the girls, who made their son a public dog. Then, Lady Stewart teased, “It is okay, my daughter. Don't cry too much so that the baby would not suffer from colic.” “Or a crybaby," Sir Jason added. Now, they watched Ruby to see her reaction, and she stopped crying at once. The four exchanged glances while she dried her tears. 'She truly cared about her baby,' Dr. Harmon thought. “You can return to the ward with her and help her to stabilize, Dr. Harmon.” The Vice-Chancellor said and looked at the doctor, who was already standing. She walked to Ruby, disengaged her from Mitchell, and waited for her to take a step, but she did not. Rather, she held her new mother's hand tightly as though, she would slip away. When Sir Stewart noticed it, he requested, “Wifey, you can walk her to the clinic.” “All right, dear.” Now, Ruby cheered up and took a step. Likewise, Prof. Farrell lectured, “I will prefer it if you keep this arrangement to yourself, Ruby. We will do the proper documentation as soon as possible.” She nodded her head in the affirmative and greeted, “Have a nice day, Father.” Sir Stewart was emotional this time. He got to understand how empty Ruby's life had been. Then, he responded with glee, “Have a nice day, my dear.” “Take care, Ruby.” The Vice-Chancellor greeted her. “Thank you, Prof. Farrell.” They walked out of the office hand in hand and when they were out of earshot, Sir Stewart pointed out, “What a poor soul.” “You got it, Sir Stewart. She would have been more brilliant and healthier than she is if her parents were there for her.” “I can understand. Meanwhile, do you know much about her background?” “Not much. I think that would be a story for another day.” “I got it, Prof. I must confess that I am delighted with the arrangements. She is in dire need of a family.” “You have saved the school and the society a lot of trouble. Kindly appreciate your wife for her willingness to accept.” “I will.” At the Clinic. They got to the clinic and Lady Stewart inquired, “How long would she be here?” “Not too long. She would return to the hostel as soon as possible.” “That is good," she acknowledged. She looked around the office and asked, “Daughter, how many of you are in a room in the hostel?” “We are…” “Never bother, dear. You will be fine," Lady Stewart, who had plans for her, interrupted. Then, Ruby shook her head in agreement and after a few minutes, Mitchell announced, “I will be on my way. Let me not keep your father waiting.” “Okay, Mom.” Then, Lady Stewart got up to leave and Ruby got up too. She walked her to the door and Lady Stewart hugged her and she greeted, “Goodbye, Mom.” “Goodbye, dear.” Afterward, the doctor walked her back to the Vice Chancellor's office and returned to the clinic. At the Garden. It was not improper to be on the defense side because everyone could not be a friend to rely on. Out of the two hundred colleagues, the presence of people who were not or pretending to be friends but in some ways, enemies or rivals, is inevitable. Hayes, Johnny's newest friend, was there, but he was disappointed when he did not see Ruby. Then, he asked, “What of your Ruby, my little sister? I guess she is resting.” “You got it. Besides, she cannot withstand this kind of outing,” Johnny strengthened out. “You are right. Congratulations once again.” “Thank you, Hayes.” “What about us, expectant uncle and expectant Grandma?” Stanley drew his attention and they laughed softly. “Oh! You deserve an accolade too. Congratulations.” “Now, you are talking. Thank you, Stanley remarked. They had their drinks and toasted to good health, love, and joy. Soon, they were through and Johnny appreciated everyone for their show of love. They watched Hayes drive off before they got into their car, and Carmine requested, “I need to get to the hostel and find out things about Ruby's door.” “You are right. And get some of your clothes. You are not returning to the hostel this night. Are you?” Stanley asked. “No. They are not returning. The hostel is not safe for my Ruby now. Someone may engage her in a fight. And you know what that means,” Johnny, who was certain that Ruby must return that night, advocated. “It is all right.” Carmine, conceded. Not long after, they were at the hostel gate and Carmine got out of the car. “We are waiting.” Stanley hinted as he held the door for her. Afterward, he got back to the car and Johnny hinted to him, “My father is around.” Stanley looked at him and suspected that Sir Stewart was aware of the pregnancy and asked, “What for?” “He came to see the Vice Chancellor.” “I see. We will wait for him to leave before we go for Ruby.” “Yes. I have been monitoring them. Let me make my inquiry again.” "Okay," he said. He called Joel again and he picked up his call. “Hello, Mr. Joel, are you still on the school premises.” “Yes, Young Master.” “It is all right.” They settled down and waited for Carmine. Suddenly, Johnny's phone rang, and he looked at the caller, hoping that it was Ruby. Meanwhile, Stanley looked at his expression. When it failed, he concluded that it was not Ruby, and looked away “I don't have this contact,” he enlightened. Then, Stanley gave him a worried look and asked, “What of your true caller, is it not activated?”
