Tamed By Her Love Episode 69

He walked out of the office at once, joined Stanley in his car and they breathed easily.
“I thought she came because of Ruby.” Stanley pointed out.
“I wondered so, too. But was it not obvious? The supply, was it not for her unborn grandchild?”
They laughed at the coincidence, and Stanley commended, “You are Blood is thicker than water."
"You got it."
"Let's get Carmine at once.”
“It is all right.”
They drove off to the girls' hostel at once.
At the Clinic.
After Lady Stewart left, Ruby was on cloud nine, and Dr. Harmon noticed it.
“Congratulations, Ruby,” she wished her.
“Thank you, Dr. Harmon. It is good to know that someone somewhere loves you.”
“You are right.”
“Can you ask Prof. Farrell to give me my phone? I want to inform my friend that I am in the clinic. She would have been troubled by now.”
Dr. Harmon would not want to go against the VC's order, so, she applied caution.
“It is okay. Let us wait for his guests to leave.”
"Okay."
Afterward, she walked to the Vice Chancellor's office to retrieve her phone and to her advantage, his guests had gone.
“Yes, Dr. Harmon. How is she?”
“She is fine. I have come to inform you that I'm closing for the day.”
“That is true. I will also close too.”
“What about Ruby?” She inquired.
“What about her? She would remain in the clinic until I move her to the special hostel, as her adoptive parents requested?”
“That is good. In that case, she needs to be mobile. At least to reach out to me in case of any emergency.”
“You are right.”
At that point, Prof. Farrell pulled out his drawer and picked up Ruby's phone. Then, he handed it over to Dr. Harmon and warned again, “Remember, I don't want anyone to know that she is in the clinic.”
“It is all right.”
She collected Ruby's phone and stood up at once.
“Thank you, Prof. Farrell. See you tomorrow.”
“Goodnight, Dr. Harmon.”
She returned to the clinic handed Ruby's phone over to her and instructed, “Take my contact. You can give me a call if there's an emergency.”
“I got it, Doctor.”
“I will get your dinner before I leave.”
“It is okay.”
She sat back on the bed and watched the television. To avoid distraction and appearing desperate, she did not turn on her phone and the doctor did not ask her friend. At 6:30 PM, she got her dinner. Afterward, she did her fundamental Clinic activities and closed for the day.
At Johnny's Apartment.
After Lady Stewart left, they drove off to the girls' hostel to get Carmine. They were delighted to note that they did not keep her waiting. When they parked, they chatted about the matter at hand while waiting for her.
“What are your plans? Are you getting married at once or after the delivery?”
“I would have preferred at once, but …”
Now, he could not pretend anymore, and his worries bled into his countenance.
“But what?” Stanley asked.
Then, Johnny narrated his observations and did not leave anything out of his fears.
“This is serious. Could she have slept with another man to get back at you?” Stanley requested.
“I think so. Maybe she thought we wouldn't come back together.”
“It's possible, but I have my doubts.”
“Why do you think so?”
“Carmine wouldn't permit it, and if Ruby had planned that, she would have called my attention.”
“Guy. I'm ashamed of myself. If I'm a woman, I won't forgive my man if I see him with another woman, completely naked and having sex. Oh! Gosh!” He exclaimed and rubbed his head.
“I understand. But women see things differently. You are the first man in her life. Am I right?”
“Yes.”
“She may not give herself to another man so easily. Put this behind you because I don't think it happened. Besides, we were always together.”
“You are right. But what is she doing with the Vice Chancellor? Celebrating the pregnancy? Oh my God.”
“Calm d…”
“I apologize for keeping you waiting. Ruby's door kept me.” Carmine interrupted them.
“Never mind. Has it been fixed?”
“Yes.”
“That's good,” Stanley said and got out of his car. He opened the car trunk for her to drop her stuff.
“What! When did you get these?” She screamed when she saw the supply.
“Just now. Have you heard from Ruby?” He asked another question to distract her from the source of the supplies.
“No. We can check on her now. The Vice-Chancellor must be free by now.”
“It is all right.”
Now, Johnny was out of the front seat and Carmine got in while he took his seat at the back.
Then, he pointed out, “We cannot go to the Vice Chancellor's office dressed like this. Let's go home and change to official wear.”
“I'm decently dressed. You guys can wait in the car for me.”
“No. We will see him together.”
Stanley, who understood that Johnny would not accept that, refuted, and drove towards the house. They got to the gate at 6:25 PM and saw the Vice Chancellor driving into the estate with his secretary. Nevertheless, there were two vehicles behind him and they queued up. Carmine was at ease because she was not familiar with the vehicle. The two vehicles in between his car and their car posed a threat to them. Apart from his destination, they would have loved to see the occupants of the vehicle. After the security check, his vehicle drove in, and it was time for the next vehicle to be checked. Now, Stanley had no choice but to beat the queue.
“Why the hurry?” Carmine asked.
 “Ruby may be waiting.”
“Sorry, Mrs. Gail. There is an emergency.”
“Okay," she said and checked their trunk, which he opened, and after she banged it, he drove in and followed the Vice Chancellor.
Johnny, who was behind, held his breath. He could not imagine what he would do to Prof. Farrell if Ruby was in his vehicle. Suddenly, his phone rang and he looked at it instantly.
“It is Ruby,” he announced.
Now, Stanley stopped chasing the Vice Chancellor and waited for him to pick up the call.
